Excited for the return of Archer tonight.
You can post about all the shows! (DOOOO ITTTTT!)
On season 2 of BB already.

Finished “Deadwood” last night, was really disappointed.
Ian McShane was outstanding, the only positive from this show. Season one ended on a high note, two was strong, three was an absolute struggle to get through. I have the movie left, will knock it down sometime this week.
Need something short to knock off before my network shows return at the end of September, am leaning towards “Treme”.
Stoked for the return of What We Do in The Shadows tonight.
Such a solid show.
I still haven't caught the show, keep meaning to.
In other streaming news. Trailer for Wheel of Time is out.
I think it can potentially be good, likely not great, but good TV.
Season 1 was good. Season 2 really hit it's stride
I really enjoyed watching Untold: Crimes and Penalties on Netflix. The story of the Danbury Trashers, a minor league hockey team owned by a mob boss, who made his wrestling fan son the GM at 17 years old. Pat McAfee had recommended it on his show as one of the top five documentaries he's ever seen.
It’s a TOUGH book series to get through. I find it hard to recommend to others because the middle drags so badly.
Called an audible, went with “Drive to Survive” on Netflix. A couple friends are F1 fans, we play F1 on the XBox, I figured I might as well meet the characters within the sport.
First season down. I knew those dudes were wired different but this has been one hell of an eye opener.

This was good. It's on HBO Max. Woodstock 99 is pretty fascinating, especially as a child of that TRL era of music. What a toxic shitshow this event was.
Just watched Malignant on HBO Max.
...so uh...guess I'm done sleeping forever...
Has anyone checked out Y The Last Man? My wife wants to watch it with me so I might not see it til it's done for the season because we're only mid season 5 on Dexter. I'm just wondering if it's good or not.
Ahhh 2 episodes left of Breaking Bad!
Netflix release dates
You - Season 3 - October 15th
Locke and Key - Season 2 - October 22nd
The Guilty - October 1st
Escape The Undertaker - October 5th
Shameless (US) - Season 11 - October 11th
Bert, let's have a contest to see which of us can escape the Undertaker fastest
Watched the first two episodes of Only Murders in the Building. Enjoyed it. A different kind of show, but interesting premise and good chemistry.
It was of course, way overdue for Steve Martin Short to add Selina Gomez as a 3rd member. I'm just glad the distance between Chevy reached the point where they could make the obvious move.
It was kinda funny. The first show ended with a scene where my wife and I commented "well, that was there for the guys who just tuned in for Selena Gomez".
Saw the trailer for Escape The Undertaker. It looks like such a stupid good time. Can't wait.
You want to get in on this competition mth? Which of us can escape fastest?
But what if I want to escape the slowest so I can see more zany hijinks?
I'm excited for Creepshow season 3, the I Know What You Did Last Summer series, and the Chucky series.
well played
Finished Psych and replaced it in my line-up with Monk, not sure what I'm going to do when I finish, maybe the Mentalist I guess.
You is so bad it's good.
I still can’t believe Hulu is the only thing that has 205 Live
Is there no thread for The Witcher? Does no one here watch it?
https://youtu.be/bSDKdjLlFxE
I watched it. I wasn't in love with it, but am comfortable being in a friendly relationship with it.
Is there anything on Netflix you can’t just get for free elsewhere?
Ah, the timeless art of seduction.
I will never question your devotion again
Yeah, of course I do.
Well, you can find pretty much anything media-wise online illegally. At least I can. I'm not sure that counts as a complaint though.
There's also the convenience factor of just clicking a few buttons and with tv shows autoplaying the next episode whereas illegal streaming in my experience doesn't have those features and finding downloads can be hit or miss unless you want to mess with torrents which I wouldn't do without a VPN personally.
Basically, you get what you pay for.
I mean yeah, I know torrents exist, but they're not really worth the time it takes to wait for them. I would rather save money, but if I want to watch something a torrent will take hours at least.
I already have 3 of the only 7 streaming services I think matter. All for wrestling purposes, so...unless you have another way, I'm pretty sure streaming is the best option.
Not sure if anyone's been watching Wu-Tang: An American Saga, but this second season has been awesome.
The first season definitely suffers from not having enough of the music and the other members early on, but it starts hitting it's stride towards the end. But where this show really succeeds is when they have the concept episodes where they'll be shot in special ways to capture the energy of the episode. The last episode was about how they made "Protect Ya Neck" and it was mind-blowingly good, especially as a fan.
Only real complaints are the dude they have playing Ghostface doesn't fit in appearance or the voice, and Raekwon's rapping is disappointing considering how on-point Shameik Moore's performance is otherwise. But it's pretty obvious they learned what worked with the first season and went all in on that shit.
Even if you're not a fan of the group, I think it's worth checking out.
So I’m a huge wu tang fan and I tried to get into this show but fizzled after an episode or two. I definitely thought it was a biographic series and then was thrown off when it was like wu tang plus the wire (not the cop side but the criminal side) and was more like a fictional version of their history. Maybe I should give it another shot?
Yeah, it's still a bit of a fictionalized dramatization for sure, and that's where the first season is weak, because they use all that to just build up some fake/exaggerated drama for the members that has almost nothing to do with the music. But the last few episodes have some really cool moments, and this second season has been much more about Wu-Tang actually coming together and making the music and getting into the business.
I would seriously consider just watching the most recent episode("Protect Ya Neck") and then deciding if you want to catch up on everything, or maybe even just watching this season. The first two episodes are a little closer to the fictionalized drama that made the season weaker, but it sets up the events of the coming episodes pretty well.
Ted Lasso is pretty good. I love that Jason Sudekis' character is just a genuinely good likable guy.
I've been thinking about getting apple, just pretty much to check out Ted lasso
I'm nearing the end of season 2 of Justified and loving it. Goggins is great in this. Very glad to still have 4 seasons to go.
They also have Mythic Quest which is from the Always Sunny guys (pretty much a must-watch if you're a Sunny fan IMO), and they have the new Jon Stewart show which I haven't seen. My free Apple+ subscription ran out before Ted Lasso season 2 began, and I haven't signed up again.
The 4400 is probably my favorite show of 2004, I really hope it could somehow continue today.
Yeah I kind of wish they would have somehow just given it another season instead of a reboot.
What We Do in the Shadows and Letterkenny are the two most consistently funny shows out there right now.
Yeah, I said it.
No Hulu or YouTube TV?
I would highly recommend it for you mth.
Hulu is good.
Hulu content is good. Hulu live tv is an indefensible horrific mess.
Yeah, I meant content wise. I have no live TV streaming service. I don't need one.
I was highly recommending WWDITS to mth.
Although I do enjoy Only Murders in the Building on hulu
Ehh, it's not great but it saves me a shit load of money over getting Spectrum, which is the only cable service I have the option of getting. And at least on Hulu Live I can watch Mets games and football. No other streaming service gives the chance to watch Mets games.
Flip flopping on whether or not to get Disney+, Netflix, and/or Amazon Prime at the moment.
Nothing specifically.
I probably am going to do that, but I don't know what a good setup would be.
Well like I said I already have 4 of the 7 of them, and it's usually for wrestling purposes.
Started Midnight Mass the other night. Not sure when I'll be able to keep going but I liked it.
Evil's second season has been all over the place. I don't think it's been as good as the first season but still a fun watch.
That's why those are the three I don't have and I said "usually".
There was a time when Amazon Prime had the TNA content currently missing from Impact+.
The wife and I are currently watching the newer DuckTales series on Disney+. It's good.
Evil season finale was pretty good. Interested to see how it moves forward in Season 3.
Spent the weekend watching Squid Game & Clickbait. Both were really done well.
That would have been cause for concern.....definitely.
Just for you, I'm going the other way with Squid game.
I'm just going to start blithely stating how I don't have time to watch or that i saw the trailer and didn't like it because "it insists upon itself" whenever you recommend it. Take that with your precious squid game.
Or I might start it this weekend.
Tough to say which.
Update time.
I bit the bullet and got the subscriptions. Right now I'm probably planning to have 4 steady ones + a rotating 5th. Boomerang is/was included in that, but I'm stunned at what little boomerang actually has left. I probably won't be doing this arrangement for too long.
I've just started the newest season of You. I cannot stand Joe or Love.
I don't know anyone lives without Amazon Prime. The free shipping alone makes it worth it to me.
Do you think I should add Amazon Prime and have a rotating 6th position then?
I started Midnight Mass last night and I'm really excited to watch more. We only made it to episode 3 and then my wife started to fall asleep but I'm really interested in it. I already think it's better than haunting of bly manor. That one sucked.
There's a few shows I want to check out (including Squid Game), but the mood is calling for something light right now. Need a binge palette cleanser.
I feel like mth is probably still using windows xp on one of the old huge crt computers.
This is making mth so mad, he might throw his bottles of Crystal Pepsi and Zima at us.
Disrespecting mth? That's a paddlin'...

Does it take a long time to draw all your memes by hand, and then find a nearby youth to #putitontheinternets?
I've got a few pterodactyls who do it begrudgingly but hey, it's a living...
Up to episode 5 of Midnight Mass. It's very good. I think I like it more than Haunting of Hill House even because it doesn't take forever for shit to happen.
Disappointed that they cancelled 'Lie to Me', I ended up replacing it with 'The Mentalist'.
The second episode of "Mr. Iglesias" has to be the worst thing I have ever watched, ever. No surprise that got cancelled.
Season 4 Premiere of Ozark is on January 21.
