Excited for tonight but fairly shitting myself.
Kahn has been sent home because he was ill on the plane. Rensing injured his back tying his shoe lace so they might have to play a 41 year old in goals.
Ooft, we might even score now!
Should be an interesting game. Chances are Aberdeen will get raped, but I wouldn't be suprised to see them put up some sort of fight anyway.
Think ill stick a fiver on Aberdeen actually.
Aberdeen 2-1 up.
What a fucking result!
Keep a clean sheet over there and we're half way to the last 16!
MON THE DONS
"Keep a clean sheet over there and we're half way to the last 16!"
So you're confident of going to Germany and scoring a goal whilst holding Munich to no goals...okay, interesting.
Was a good game though, Aberdeen goals where both very good. Kinda cheered when Walker scored the first goal, fucking need a slap I do.
The wee black fella had a cracking game.
I've been sleeping for almost a day so I completely missed the Aberdeen game, and the huns game is still fresh in my memory.
I've got to say you were very unlucky not to score. Davis nearly looks as good as s_o_f claims he is, and will probably render Ferguson completely useless if he can keep it up. In fact, if Davis and Hemdani can play to what they seem capable of then I wouldn't really see a point in Ferguson getting a start anymore.
I'm going to tar you all with the same brush and call you cheating cunts after my hun-mate screamed "DIVE!!!" at Novo those couple of times. All respect to Novo for not going down, but I can see you going out now, which I would never have predicted beforehand.
Relatively confident about tonight for some reason. Can see us getting a goal or two. If we score, I can't see them scoring two.
2-1 Rangers.
I actually think Rangers will get fucking gubbed.
I want them to go through, but I really dont see it happening.
NEVER
If Smith gets it right, then I can see them MAYBE nicking a goal and winning 1-0, but really, Its a big ask.
Kris Boyd is starting up front on his own. :scared:
I think a 1-0 win or 1-1 is likely. We need to take advantage of set pieces though. Hopefully Adam can whip in some good balls.
is Manucho playing?
Who else do we have though? It's shocking that we have nobody that can take a decent corner. But Adam does blow hot and cold and hopefully he can have a good night tonight. To be fair to him, he can deliver on the big nights.
Boyd will do nothing tonight until the last minute, when he toe pokes the ball into the net from a yard out. This will give us a 1-1 draw.
You'll go through. It's been one of those weeks.
You're right about us not having ANYONE who can hit a decent corner. Actually, none of them can hit an anywhere near acceptable corner consistently.
How many times we don't beat the first man from corners is appauling. Sometimes I wonder if they are actually professional footballers, or if they actually get shown how to do it properly at Murray Park.
It's a shame, too, 'cause we do have a pretty good aerial presence which could benefit from them.
What channel has the game, I can't find it anywhere :panic:
I thought BBC Scotland had the first leg, no sign of it for this one.
 why is it called Sportscene fucking benders I skipped right past it, I should have checked the channel anyway.
I hate football.
Other then that last minute thing you were spot on. Boyd was terrible, that ball in injury time to release Ferguson (I think) to seal the match was awful, such a textbook ball through too. He wasn't jumping or fighting for it and just seems a waste of space.
Nacho Novo almost looked scared as he celebrated.
Is Charlie Adam actually any good, I've only seen a few matches but he seems to try hard and has a good work rate but just isn't capable of doing much.
Charlie Adam is a legitimate heroin addict. There was a bit about it in the Herald a while back.
Him and the rest of Scotland!!!!1111
Errr, reckon he's any good though like, I dunno he seems to have these slow reactions, and when the defender slide to stop the cross and it fell back to him, he took too long lining it up and then planted it straight on the head of their first man.
http://img.skysports.com/07/09/218x2...lie_573287.jpg
Look at his stupid junkie face. Epitome of a hun right there.
Herion addict  Fuck off.
Second half was good enough from us. First half was meh. Simple things like through balls and controlling a ball were terrible from us all night though except the last ten minutes.
Done what we had to do. Happy enough with that.
Glad to see Novo finally score against the Greeks. :P
Meh, alright performance I guess, just happy we got through. Boyd was poor again, its insanely annoying because he is capable of so much, but he's just a lazy fucker.
Adam irritates me so much as well, he needs a break outside of the team just to work on his football - he was brilliant last year. At least he tries though.
COME ON BRAGA.
Adam really is infuriating. His lack of being able to play football is god awful.
Rangers by far have the worst first touch I have EVER seen in my life. I'm glad we're through and all that but fuck me.
I was truly shit at football as a nipper but I swear I could trap a ball no problem, you would think some of these fuckers have spinal injuries the way they try to control a ball. Cueller though, no doubt he'll be bye bye come summer time for 4.5 million that we just can't turn down .
I know what you mean - Novo is the biggest culprit. I mean, I love the wee scamp but for fuck sake learn to control a ball.
Seems like decent craic in the uefa cup.
That's the only reason Adam turned up.
What an easy win that was. :D
Sarcasm?
I thought we were poor yesterday, hopefully just a European hangover and we can up our game on Wednesday. At home to Inverness we should be looking for three points especially as Rangers face a tough away game at Hearts.
Not keen on this match tonight. That's a Wednesday, Sunday, Thursday, Sunday and now Wednesday we've played in a row.
Creaks in the defence showed in a normally solid defence against Gretna largely thanks to Deuchar again. Hopefully the players aren't too tired tonight.
This is a big game for you. Can actually see you dropping points for once. Hopefully.
It is a big game. I'm not overly confident but Hearts are piss poor, really.
Fatigue is the only thing bothering me. As long as we're not careless we'll be alright.
Never heard of him.
Deuchar is a pile of bollocks, saw him play for Northampton he was rubbish. Moaning, cheating lump.
Deuchar is a legend- became a bit of a hero on our message board for his goal scoring exploits with Gretna and his contribution to their rise up the leagues
Dr Goals is great, was sad he couldn't stay at Saints longer.
He scored a bunch of goals in terrible leagues, but he's still wank.
Gretna 3-0 up.
Watched rangers last night. Steve Davis is fucking class and it shows. I hope he will be worth 9m in a year as well.
:D
Was it Rangers fans singing about King Billy? I guess so because all the songs around it were Rangers ones, just I thought they had to stop or they'd get fined, and Hearts also sing those songs.
Whats the song they were singing to Swing Low Sweet Chariot?
What is the general feeling on him so far?
NACHO NOVO
HE'S OUR HERO
GONNA TAKE POLLUTION DOWN TO ZERO
Steven Davis is pure class. I really hope that we sign him in the summer. We have a deal in place to sign him for 3 million if we want him. He was immense last night. His passing and vision is superb.
I said that four years ago. I never wanted rid of him and Fulham are fucking, fucking stupid.
Fulham are spasdicated. They want bullard and simon davies in the centre but I think steve davis could offer a lot more than davies through the centre. His set-pieces are pretty tasty as well.
If rangers sign lafferty they will probably win the champions league.
Davis absolutely pisses on Davies. He works best in a packed midfield however.
Davis looked solid as fuck last night, but that leaves Thomson struggling for a place, just as he was showing some signs of quality.
Tough shit he shouldnt be so shit compared to steven davis.
A midfield of Thomson, Davis and Ferguson is what I would go with. Burke and Naismith down the wings.
Hemdani is a quality player, but we could get a few million for him from a Premiership side. We could then use that money for Davis. Hemdani is just too limited. We only need him in Europe and against Celtic. For most of the season, he has fuck all to do.
Hearts are appalling.
Good win today against what seemed like a spirited Dons side. I don't care how we play though, as long as we keep on winning. Loving the consistency at the moment, though I fear for when we play Bremen.
And Steven Davis was Man of the Match again I think. Such a classy and tidy player. Fuck sake Fulham are mugs. Best-spent £3 million ever if we get him.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/mai...letcher111.xml
Didn't look as though this was posted before, I certainly haven't heard anything about it. Real Madrid really interested in Steven Fletcher?
I doubt that will happen, but it does make you think, why aren't we or Celtic going in for him? He is potentially very, very good.
The scandalous bastards are charging £29 for the Bremen match.
Very pleased with the comeback against Aberdeen. Aberdeen always give their all against Rangers and falling behind made me think this might have been the match in which we slipped up.
It gets said every season but this time it's very literal; it is actually going to come down to Old Firm games to decide the league this year.

Boruc To Be Hauled In Front Of SFA
Written by Hector Bandido
Tuesday, 04 March 2008
By Darryl Bentfoot
Controversial Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc will be hauled before the SFA disciplinary committee after they received a flood of complaints about his behaviour from irate Hibs supporters following last weekends SPL match between Hibernian and Celtic.
The home supporters are believed to be incensed after the Polish keeper raised his hands in the penalty area to catch a corner from the Edinburgh side on the 15th minute. It is then claimed Boruc did likewise throughout the match and on at least one occasion used a clenched fist to punch the ball away from the head of a Hibernian player during the second half.
Angry Hibs supporter Davie McChip, who wasn’t at the match but watched the highlights on Setanta commented: “The SFA have really got to put a stop to Boruc’s antics ken as there is no doubt having a clenched fist ken is provocative towards the Hibs fans ken and may lead to some of our supporters ken leaving the stadium ken with a rather large bleating chip on our shoulders. Oops, almost forgot, Ken.”
Another Hibs fan, Dorothy Small-Person, who was at the game due to Heriot Watsonians Rugby match being called off couldn’t hold back the tears as she sobbed: “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. There I was all tucked up nice and warm in my tartan blanket with my husband Findlay and about to pour him some of my mother’s home-made soup from our oversized flask when this foreign ruffian comes running from his goal-line waving his arms about like a man possessed. After he punched the ball we both shouted ‘knock on’ but sat back stunned when the referee ignored our calls for a scrum to the home side and waved play on. Trust us when we say our letter to the SRU will be in the second-class post first thing tomorrow morning.”
The Day Late were unable to contact SFA supreme Gordon Nice but a spokesman for the SFA chief commented that Mr Nice was fully aware of the issue and would deal with it as a matter of priority once visiting guests from Bremen leave the country on Friday morning.
In other news top SPL whistler Mike McCurry looks set to be confirmed as the referee for the remainder of Rangers games in the SPL as reward for his outstanding performances this season.
"Angry Hibs supporter Davie McChip, who wasn’t at the match but watched the highlights on Setanta commented"
So fucking true.
:$
I read the first sentence and thought that it was true. Sounded like something the SPL or SFA would do! It wasn't until I caught the last line that I fully read the article.
hahaha
I only realised when it said "ken".
 @ Werder keeper.
Hahahahaha Bremen keeper 2 - 0 Bremen. Cheers Tim. Rangers in the Quarters!
Seems that 7-3 on aggregate wasn't too bad after all.
Apparently only 507 in attendance at Fir Park tonight.
No joke, any dosh this week stick it on Hibs to win on Sunday.
Not for any negativity on Rangers part, purely because we will be absolutely toast, you could see it in the players face the last 15 mins. They're like fuck this I need to breathe and who can blame them. Walter has shown he won't make to many changes but surely this Sunday he has to bring in Webster, Novo, Boyd, Burke, Thompson and Whittaker, just to give some of the boys a breather.
Great result and a very good performance, we passed well we pressed and tackled like fecking gladiators, very good game for us even if the goals where soft. I just hope McCullouch hasn't Borrusia Dortmund us out of the tie next week.
That keeper was clearly bribed. No-one is that shit.

Looks like they're fucked.

True gent of football. Meet him a couple of time and is always good for a chat. Hope he battles through it.
Are pople watching SSN right now the Gretna news conference is live.
The positions deteriorated since yesterday, their game on Saturdays likely to be postponed and the potential investors haven't yet done anything concrete.
SSN have been re-doing the table should Gretna fold and it puts Celtic top by +3 on GD but the Gers have two games in hand.
Dundee Utd will gain the most by Gretna going under.
Must have been Craig Levein's plan all along.
They might not be able to play on Saturday because they don't have insurance for the players anymore.
I heard someone on the bus home say Brook Mileson had died, thankfully not true.
I might pop up to Gretna this weekend, see if I can get a game. I'm not bothered about insurance.
Rangers hanging on here. Bremen missed a sitter just before.
You will be quite dissapointed if you go to Gretna mate, they play thier home games in motherwell.
Thought steve davis was good but not himself last night until the last minute when he destroyed 3 germans and went rollicking away only for lee mcullough to fuck it all up
Rangers v Sporting. I'll have that.
I hate Rangers.
What a lot of pish that was. I never doubted the huns would win but fuck me they didn't deserve it. I thought Mark Kerr was a tim, what the fuck was that inch perfect through ball to Boyd all about?
All credit to Boyd though, him and McGregor are Rangers' most important players. They practically won that game by themselves. Hopefully Smith doesn't open his eyes and start playing Boyd every game. That's the last thing we need.
United were unlucky as they were the better team, and to go ahead again after the huns had equalised showed they weren't just rolling over. The goal was a peach, and I wish I kept De Vries in my fucking team.
My mate's dad is Celtic fan, and was running the line. And I'm sure I can remember him flagging Darcheville off when he was on.
BOYD BOYD KRISSY KRISSY BOYD
Fucking ridiculous.
For every game Boyd has where he saves Rangers skin, he has another game where he is entirely pedestrian and jeapordises the teams chances of winning.
Mcgregor is however outstanding.
Boyd usually comes on after somebody else has done the legwork then he capitalises on mistakes, he's a useful player to have around but to call him one of the two most important players is rubbish. He can do that against Dundee United but we shouldn't be building a team around players who can poach opportunistic goals against Dundee United but rather players that are genuinley capable of performing in Europe, and Boyd isn't.
By most accounts, he's also extremely unproffessional and if Smith makes him the starter, a knock-on effect could occur that could decrease the work rate and conduct of the entire team.
If Boyd starting makes the rest of the team stop trying, then there's something wrong with the Rangers players attitude.
Nonsense. Goals win games my man and nobody scores goals better than Boyd.
I know there's more to it than having to score goals, and aye Boyd's link up play and pace etc isn't up to scratch. That would matter as much as you try to make it out to if he didn't score goals because of his flaws - but he still scores goals even with his limitations.
I'm all for not playing him in European games or games when other options are more logical. But in the SPL or matches when we're not underdogs, fuck it and stick him up front and reap the rewards.
And I don't see what you mean when you say he capitalizes on tired legs - I'm going to assume one of your examples is the final on Sunday. He tends, as he did on Sunday, to come on at half-time. That's not his fault - he plays when he's told, so it's technically Smith capitalizing on the tired legs. Boyd just scores the goals, which he's proved he will do whether he plays 90, 45 or 20 minutes. He's got 20 goals this season as a bit-part player.
Unprofessional? Why? Because he drinks? Because he's "lazy?"
I'd have Boyd at Celtic.
You would also have Kenny Miller at Celtic! I like the three strikers we have at the moment and I couldn't see Boyd adding anything to it.
Hesselink is useless. Rangers are going to win the league this year and probably would have had it won already had it not been for McDonald. Killen isn't Celtic class either.
Samaras might well be, but he's only on loan as far as I know.
I won't even mention Riordan seeing as Strachan probably doesn't even know the lad exists.
Hesselink is not useless, he has scored 32 goals in 59 starts and 5 substitute apparences. He has been injured twice this year and he was brought back too soon from at least one of those.
Killen and Riordan are not up to the standards, I will give you that. Samaras is on loan, we have an option to buy him in the summer and I would like us to take it up as he is a good player, I personally would start both him and Vennegoor tonight.
We could definitely use Boyd, most teams in fucking britain could. And how do you know the huns are going to win the league Melv? We've still got to play them 3 times, twice at Parkhead.
Looks like you're conceding the title far too early again.
Quite an exciting game this. We've seen Super Darren Mackie with a clinical finish and someone get the worst eye injury seen on a football pitch since Fashanu's elbow met Mabbutt's bones.
We were really good first half, but incredibly flat in the second half until they scored.
A goal is inevitable though.
Stupd fucking cetic fucking score.
Strachan out.
Celtic could go a season trophyless.:eek:
