Have this one to keep things relevant.
How’s Gerrard doing? Ranges fans like him so far?
From a neutral point of view, I like him. There's still a long way to gofor Rangers to improve but he recognises that. Not an easy tonight facing a Croatian side.
Aberdeen-Burnley tonight should hopefully be good.
He's basically the messiah at the moment, saying all the right things and making loads of signings to please the supporters. But recently Rangers fans always seem to get hilariously carried in pre-season, no matter who's in charge. So after Celtic beat them 8-0 in the first Old Firm he'll become another tarrier bastard in a long line of tarrier bastards to taint the good name of the club. The fans will then arrange to have the orange walk pick him up and march him back to Liverpool. File under Joey Barton.
At the very least, I hope he lasts longer than John Barnes at Celtic.
As Wardy said loads of Rangers fans are getting carried away.
I've watched all the games so far and tbh its hard to tell exactly what they are trying to do tactically. Defensively we look much more sound which was a major issue last year. However, we have no forwards with their shooting booting on at all.
He is working with what he has at the moment which is fairly shite, and only the centre halves and Arfield have played from the new signings.
I honestly think the idea is McAllister to be the brains and Gerrard to be the 'big name' to appease the mongos.
At least they're not Dundee United. Beaten by Alloa on penalties, oh how the mighty have fallen!
Same old Alloa always cheating.
Nice one lads I’ll be hoping to watch Rangers more see how he gets on. I hope he is successful, I also forgot about McAllister helping him brilliant move that.
Another Celtic-Rosenborg tie but credit to Celtic for thwomping them.
Great results all round last night!
West Ham in for Ntcham that would be a major loss to Celtic and Scottish Football. Best player in the league at the moment.
He's too good for them.
How many loans at Rangers from us? And how’s Johnny Flano doing at right back?
Let me know when he pulls this off again
https://youtu.be/GRFt6r3Ypb4
They won't really sign big Kyle again will they
Hopefully so we can get it right up him. He has more chance of beating us at Hearts.
I am so excited for Scottish Football this season. The quality of the league is higher than its been in years. Celtic will still absolutely romp it but Aberdeen, Hibs, Rangers and maybe one from Hearts and Kilmarnock could all finish anywhere else in the top 6. Rodgers, Gerrard, Lennon, Levine, Miller, Stubbs, Clarke, Mcinnes and Wright are probably the best managerial line up we have had in terms of possible carry on and 'banter' through the season too.
Looking forward to October when the Gerrard messiah complex is gone and the fans are calling for him to be launched because his daughter is called Lourdes.
Treble for Celtic again this season for me, and us to FINALLY get a manageable CL group and get to the last 16.

Wright's brought in some fresh blood over the summer. Been impressed with Tony Watt so hopefully that'll calm the moaning Saintee fans who want him sacked every week.
I'll say McCann's first for the high jump.
What a first weekend.
Solid if unspectacular performance against Livingston, rumblings that Roberts may be on his way back up again. Edouard is wonderful.
Killie looked good and the new boy who scored an absolute ripper of a second goal looks a player.
Hibs were good entertainment value again and walked over Motherwell (who had a good share of chances in the last 30 mins tbf)
Gerrard has already lost the plot and is crying about conspiracies and referees being against rangers 'for years' - and he wants answers. I stupidly thought he would be above all that but looks as if he's bought into the victim complex that comes with being involved with Rangers. Cries of refereeing standard and whataboutery rife. A fanbase just fuelled by anger and a seige mentality that even a decent result away to Pittodrie causes a meltdown.
Scottish football is great.
Fair play to Killie but why Tommy decided to play a 5-4-1 I don't know. Against the likes of Celtic is understandable but not Killie! Hopefully it gets sorted for the next game.
Yeah they touched on that on Sport scene last night, you's were camped in your box and Watt was chasing shadows the whole game. Very strange set up. Hope Watt does well this season though.

Quality stuff.
That was a sensational performance from Rangers tonight. What a shift every single player put in. Delighted!
Very frustrating for us last night for a number of reasons. Ntcham smoked cigars though.
Ntcham is the best player in the league by a million miles. You's go into the Europa if AEK win anyway so not all is lost. I do think you will sneak through, I dont see yous not scoring over there anyway.
Will Gerard play my man Sadiq Umar on Sunday?
Let me phone the prod phone and check it out.
Celtic should just sign Kyle at this stage. He would bash up the Greeks on his own
As poor as Celtic were there Hearts were bloody good.
Ikpeazu looks great so far brilliant at holding up the play and strong as fuck, they defended like absolute beasts.
Sky's scottish football coverage remains a complete joke though. Walker, Commons, Boyd and Crocker are all complete shit. Haley McQueen feigning interest is actaully brutal to listen to.
Tony Watt yuussss!!!
Mallen OG is it not?
Yeah my mistake, was givenas anOG in the end.
Played well though, could've had more though Zander kept us in too.
Haha, its weird how things can go so wrong, so quickly.
That was gutting last night but it had been coming.
Have rode our luck getting into the CL for the last two years and would likely have had our arses felt this year unless the draw was very favorable. Rodgers is clearly not happy with the lack of strengthening of the squad, but we were unlucky in terms of injuries too last night - Boyata 'injured', Ajer suspended, and Dembele/Edouard both not being fit is a killer.
It had been so so glaring for a long while now that the weakenssess are at CB, and this last fortnight has made that even more apparent. We've dominated possession, had far more chances, and shot ourselves in the foot by losing very poor and very avoidable goals. We conceded from cut-backs into the box against Rosenborg, AEK twice, Livingston and Hearts in the last fortnight. It's so avoidable.
We have two weeks left in the transfer window and an opportunity to have a little run in a very strong Europa League. The money is there and we have the right manager, the squad just looks a bit thinner, a bit more labored and a bit tired (not physically, but in need of freshening up).
If the board fuck it up to the point where Rodgers wants to leave, its inexcusable.
However, I'm an optimist. Few players by the end of the window, get that third domestic treble and some european football after x-mas and we can put this shite fortnight behind us.
Keeping hold of Ntcham & Dembele is surely the top priority. Rodgers record in the transfer market is really piss poor when you look at it. I have no doubt that Celtic will win the league still but it is going to be tight.
For this week I will hand the "Banter Years" baton over to Slare since there are no Dundee United fans present. May you keep a tight grip of it for weeks to come.
Losing to Hearts via a Kyle Laffery goal, being pumped out of the CL by a very ordinary team due to your best CB being suspended and your second best one refusing to play, the manager openly complaining about the lack of signings and us installing 2 million quid lights for Champions League nights that aren't happening.
Thats a pretty good go at some Bhanter years.
Hanging onto Dembele, NtCham and Tierney is an absolute must at this point yeah - I hope the lack of CL football isn't too much of a deterrent to them, but fuck knows at this point
Tierney will stay for the season. The other two I am not so sure.
Dembele is Mr Glass these days. Every time he gets going for a bit, back on the injured list.
So we drew Celtic in the quarters. More than likely a bum-raping, but hey home tie!
Get the plastic grass to absolute fuck.
It really is a nonsense surface.
Yup, absolute shambles that 2nd division teams can put together a decent grass surface and premier teams are playing on that.
Artificial pitches aren't being used for August after a good summer. It's to try and stop the cancellations over the winter when it's shite and smaller teams don't have the resources to prevent it.
Please please please sign a fucking defender before I kill myself.
I dont see how throwing money at Aberdeen for McKenna will make things any better. He's not that much better than what you already have and I understand why Aberdeen are saying "funny money or fuck off". I'll sell ya a Lee Wallace and Andy Haliday for £3 million. That will help.
Haven't touched on midweek European games. I think both the opposition teams were very well organised but not up to much. Celtic have a more favourable result IMO. However, Celtic should have absolutely walloped that team. Not one player was worth a fuck, outside the obvious defensive issues Brown for me was shocking. Spending far too much time on the ball and doing the worst Pirlo impression I've ever seen. Scott Brown is not a playmaking lynchpin in any way so how this happened in an away European game is beyond me. I know I sound a bit daft when I say this but things seem to be unravelling for Rodgers in a similar way they did at Liverpool.
Slare/Wardy do you think if there is no support financially from the board Rodgers will go this season?
£60 win for geting Tony Watt as first goalscorer. Best team in Tayside once again! :D
Not hard at the moment. The Dundee teams are fucking rancid.
McKenna or any other 21 year old project is not the answer. It's so blatantly obvious for everyone to see that we need a decent defender with experience but I have no confidence that we'll get bring one in and the whole fiasco has had a negative impact on the rest of the team. We could maybe just about get by if we kept Boyata but it's not ideal.
I get the feeling that for whatever reason, Rodgers will be off. The stuff he's been saying in interviews about the board makes me think he's planning his escape route. Maybe it is because they're not backing him, but he can use that excuse anyway to try and save face on the way out. I like him a lot but he's obviously very flawed and I think he needs to take some of the blame for this situation we've found ourselves in.
I'm torn between wanting Big Kyle to come on and rule Europe and also wanting Stevie G to get beaten because the Russian coach has been slagging the balls of him and it would be funny #conflicted
I can't wait to see them both cry on Sunday.
We all know the reason brendy is annoyed is because he wanted lafferty to lead the line... I mean we don't but that's what I wanted
Wrong thread.
Predictions for Old Firm tomorrow? I'll say 2-2.
Loads of goals, red cards. Tight game.
McGregor is a brick wall.
Couldn't do anything about that though. Well worked goal.
I think I have liver failure.
All that bile you've been spewing for the last 24 hours ;)
To everyone that said Tommy Wright would be sacked first. :dx:
Watt Plażer of the Month too.
Well done young Tony Watt, he'll always have a special in my heart for that goal against Barca.
Buzzing for the Albania game on Monday. I still have no idea how this Nations League thing works but it feels like something we can do well in for once.
Although I've just noticed the only centre backs in the squad are Mulgrew and Souttar for fucksake game's a bogey.
Big Ek is a fanny.
Put to the sword. Daft mistakes have cost us.
Couldn't give a fuck about friendlies now that we have this Nations thing.
I have zero interest in the scotland team while that ginger fud remains in charge.
I've never been so invested in the scottish domestic game before, but so apathetic to the national team. So much good happening in our game, fronted by an absolute dial tone of a national set up.
How exactly do you suggest that they kick on with the national team. For talking sake McLeish and the SFA cannot be moved out of their positions or power.
The actual players we have don't seem to gel at international level and the right and centre back options are atrocious
We are fucking brutal man.
Duplicate post.
Rodgers is an eedjit. Start Griffiths.
Rodgers is a genius show some respect
Well he's better than Eck that's for sure.
John Barnes is best Celtic manager of all time.
Rodgers is probably the best manager in Scotland since Martin O'Neill so like 15 years
Celtic should be well and away by now, missed some sitters. Zander Clark has been magnificent though, kept us in it. Well til now. Gutted.
Was lovely shagging you at the weekend badger.
Was hoping for an old firm semi there tbh, no strikers Vs no defenders could have been spectacular.
Wonder how the SFA manage the semis with both rangers and Celtic playing on the Thursday. I'd have both Sunday and use murryfield and Hampden. But that's obviously not going to happen, too sensible.
Yeah that was terrible. Gave you too much respect.
Much more like it in the second half after a pish first 45. Griffiths was wasteful but we'd be fucked without him. First name on the teamsheet for me at the moment.
The Scottish Purge to take place on 28/10/18.
Well at least Edouard got one.
#rapidresponse
Rodgers: "Murrayfield is not a neutral venue!" What a tard, an argument can just as easily be made forHampden. Plus it's primarily a rugby ground.
Aye he's talking shit with that patter. I'm not bothered where we play but I think the main issue folk have is: why is it our game that gets moved and not the other one?
Damn SevCo #RangersDied
Police Scotland investigating an alleged beasting in the Perth area today. Don't worry Badger it's not you they're looking for this time.
