If you ate bugs, would you dine a mite?
Yay the matthew and morrison show.
When you 2 are done 69ing each other while playing Madden can you finally post a pic of the 2 of you in the same place at the same time so we can put this theory to rest?
PS-Randy Orton can troll like no other. Dude knows how to work people. He's never leaving the WWE.
He's not as good at trolling as Matthew and Morrison!
this nyla rose vs. leva bates match on dark is so bad.
strangely abrupt start to tonights episode. but it is a packed show.
strangely abrupt start to tonights episode. but it is a packed show.
i really, really hate tag team spots where they make one partner hit the other with a DDT, or in this case the reverse hurricanarana. just always look totally silly.
People are losing their minds for that match on twitter, but I thought it was sloppy as fuck
Ya Mas sloppy.
I still don't understand what the fuck the Dark Order are supposed to be.
it was. i enjoyed the match but a lot of stuff looked bad. a lot of these spotfest wrestlers have ideas beyond what they can pull off in a way that looks good, and they try to cram way too many of them into a match. and they don't seem to learn from that either.
they should not have brought the dark order shirtless geeks onto TV
Great opener.
The Dark Order blows.
Dark Order bald dude should paint himself white and paint some red war paint on his bald head and body. Like Kratos from God Of War.
Dark Order fat dude should go back to manning the register at 7-11.
Would it hurt to have SCU get a quick win here? This episode is stacked and the Dark Order look like jabronis.
i wish they'd stop the wwe style crowd shots
Joey Janela is what a Crash Test Dummy crossbred with a backyard wrestler would look and wrestle like.
Janela pretending to wrestle, that's a barrel of laughs.
i dont know what it is but kenny just doesnt have the feeling of a star in america like he did in new japan.
Joey's running is so bizarre.
Kenny telegraphing everything and pointing at stuff as per usual.
Kenny Omega wrestles like a silent film actor acts. Big, overly exaggerated movements and lots of signaling his intentions. Pointing and bugging his eyes out like The Ultimate Warrior.
He’s a good wrestler, but he’s goofy as Hell.
Kenny looks like it's really dawning on him that maybe this isn't as exciting as he thought it was going to be.
that was a great segment
That was an awesome angle
“The Best Friends shouldn’t be off your radar.” - Tony Schiavone.
”I want them off my TV.” - Me.
I can’t believe AEW ran a show in Philly, had a street fight main event their show, and nobody mentioned ECW once. At least from what I can remember.
Jamie Hayter looks remarkably like Ash Millman from What Culture.
brit baker's slingblades are terrible

seth rollins level bad
Really digging AEW but some of these matches are going way longer than they need to. Like Britt Baker being on the defensive in that match like 3-4 minutes too long or Joey Janela getting in way too much offense on Kenny Omega.
That Inner Circle and Cody, Dustin, MJF, and DDP was great though.
Kinda wondering if they're angling towards adding PAC to Omega vs. Moxley.
That was the best execution and bump I’ve ever seen of that move.
Moxley is so good in AEW.
“Alacrity” is Excalibur’s “Word Of The Day Calendar” word, isn’t it?
Pretty sure this gonna end in a draw
They’re going Broadway.
Time limits are great.
TV time minute remaining meant the match really only had like 15 minutes instead of the usual 20 they seem to get. But that's one way to give both of these guys a draw. I'm okay with that.
That was pretty killer for a TV main event.
I don't really have an interest in watching Jericho in a match but he's ridiculously entertaining in all the other necessary segments he can be in. The cutaway shot of him whining and holding up his ticket was hilarious.
The top of the tag division is arguably the best thing they've got going in the company. Private Party and Dark Order are misses right now for different reasons. Private Party just feels like a spot show tag team and they struggle when it comes time to get technical and actually wrestle. Dark Order is just a shitty gimmick.
Thought the Omega/Janela match was fine.
No real issue with the result of the main event. Makes sense and you have to show you're willing to go the time limit draw route in order for it to mean something.
I've got a few friends who have been watching this since it started and they've been saying they started that they were looking forward to see what the fuss was about Omega and Moxley in a new environment. None of them have been impressed with what they've seen with them to this point. Can't say I disagree with that broad assessment.
Excellent main event. I wasn't sure if Pac and Moxley would have chemistry, but they tore it up.
Anything worth checking out from Dark last week? Or am I best off going straight in to Dynamite?
The eight man tag main event was really good
Ta.
Your few friends are shitty friends. lol. JK.
Omega and Moxley, and moreso their feud, is what keeps me tuned in. I can appreciate some of my other favorites like Pentagon Jr and the quality of wrestling that we see which is no doubt top notch for the most part.....but yeah, Moxley and Omega are dope. Your friends need to stop watching wrestling if they aren't impressed or maybe their expectations being in the shadows is why I'm having a hard time understanding how you couldn't be impressed.
I think AEW still has NXT beat in terms of overall look but I think NXT, especially this week, beats AEW with actual wrestling. I would buy either side of the argument in terms of commentary.
Two, in specific, were interested to see Moxley without shackles in WWE and they're not impressed because it's just him wrestling and not a lot of talking. For Omega, they heard about he was absolutely amazing and top guy in Japan and they felt he just came across as a midcard guy who has promise or isn't being projected as a big deal. I guess it sounds like they think it's a misallocation of utilization. I'd say you can make a point about Moxley and the promos but you'd have a hard time believing Omega is an extremely charismatic promo guy because he's barely talked.
I'll say this about Omega. Nobody really goes around praising his promos. That's not because he can't talk it's just that he's from a place that doesn't follow the same exact model as the WWE for example. New Japan and DDT are not promo heavy they're wrestling heavy and what makes Omega special isn't the promos, it's his look, his style, and what he does in that ring.
If your homeys watch him and don't respect that he's one of the absolute best going today in the ring, give them time. As far as Moxley goes, the promos he's turned in have been dope as fuck. But I think with him it's also not just about being unshackled on the mic but in the ring as well. He's more of a hardcore type guy and in the WWE he wasn't doing much of it, but when he did he turned out some of the best performances of the year.
So yeah man I get it to an extent but your clique is obviously a lot like you where if everything magical doesn't happen within the first 10 seconds it's going to cause anxiety lol.
My best friend DVR's the replay so we started watching it out about 10 minutes after it started last night. He kept thinking that his DVR must have cut out the entrance, he couldn't get over the fact they didn't show these mugs walking down with music.
My boy is struggling to realize that not everything is going to look and sound like the WWE despite half the roster being former WWE talent, you have the voice of the WWE on commentary, so I get it. But yeah I thought it was dope, just cut out the bullshit and get to the wrestling.
I gave up at midnight last night, Pete. Even on the app it wasn't up. Fucking hell.
I watched my Samoe Joe part 2 DVD instead. 4 way with BJ, Maff and Low Ki and a sickening cage match with Mark Briscoe. :barf:
Aha they didnt put it up till 9am full stop this week
What an utter shambles. It's not even like I could have watched NXT instead. We don't get that until the early hours of Friday. It's like being back in the fucking 90s. ITV didn't even bother with their usual running late tweet last night.
I won't get to watch Dynamite until Sunday night now and NXT will have to wait until Monday night.
Ha, in the grand scheme of things though, I suppose...
I've rewatched the brawl segment multiple times already. That was such an awesome angle, best I've seen in awhile. Cody is such a great babyface, he's brilliant at playing the crowd. I loved the reference to there being no invisible wall around the ring. The build of Cody's friends progressively coming out. The glass door, Cody smashing it, and then it's fucking on. Brawling out in the concourse, security desperately trying to get things under control. Just electric stuff, and nothing super fancy. Just an organic, out of control brawl. Exactly what I love about wrestling.
Main event was awesome too. Loved the draw, can't wait for a rematch. Moxley needs to get some mic time stat, it's crazy he hasn't had a live promo yet. They're being really judicious with interviews, I'd say maybe a little too much.
Overall I'm enjoying the product. They're absolutely putting WWE to shame.
They're hyping up Moxley cutting a promo on next week's show.
I have no idea who that is.
Also, I read his name as "Anthony Agogo" and laughed a little.
He's an Olympic boxer, so that's pretty cool. I'd imagine it will take a while for him to properly train.
AEW's counter to Tyson Fury is a boxer nobody has ever heard of. Makes sense.
seen Ogogo ko MJF last weekend,, other than that never heard of him
I guess he's been training, debuted in Feb of this year. It'll be interesting but he has the right people to help sink or swim. Just having Jericho, Goldust, Arn Anderson, and Dean Malenko is great but then the younger guys like Omega, Cody, etc. Yeah I don't see how this could turn bad unless he just flat out doesn't catch on, which isn't out of the ordinary.
Nice dig :)
Honestly it wasn't even a dig until after I posted it and thought, fuck, he's going to think I'm knocking him. When in reality it was just a general term because there were several people in the Smackdown thread who were like "Who the fuck is this guy he's not even famous WWE made him now!" But yeah after I posted it I was like, fuck, he's going to think I took a shot at him and it was just really way of saying I get why people wouldn't know he was compared to some of the crossover boxers like Tyson, Butterbean, Ali, etc.
haha, because his name sounds like he's black. Tyson Fury sounds like a black comic book character or character in Street Fighter.
Naw I was just busting the balls of AEW. WWE snags Tyson Fury, AEW feels like they need a boxer too. Only this time their boxer is a legally blind retired boxer who's already been wrestling here and there.
You can knock me, I know I'm a very much pro WWE guy. Look, I gave AEW a shot this past week. It's just not for me. Everything from the commentary, to the in ring action, to the weird sound that's made whenever someone hits the mat. Just screams WCW. And I didn't like WCW. Not knocking anyone who likes AEW, fine by me. The more wrestling, the more competition, the better. Maybe after 30 years I'm just programmed and conditioned to WWE that anything else just isn't going to click with me.
Also, this is entirely my opinion, I think Cody just started the company so he can win a world title, because he wasn't good enough to ever win it in the WWE. He's gonna lose the match at whatever the PPV is called, due to interference from Inner Circle - Bad Boys.mp3. Then he'll get a rematch with Jericho in a steel cage or their Hell in a Cell rip off Fire Surrounded by Wire, and get his big championship celebration moment.
And Jack Swagger, please come back to WWE, if you're reading this. I love you.
Hes a world ubified heavyweight champion who dethroned Wladimir Klitschko who had rules the division for ten years.
Problem is the heavy division has been dominated by Europeans in europe for the last two decades so they arent really known that well outside of there.
It didnt help Fury that he was banned for taking Peds for two years just after he won the title and retired for a while, blew uo to about 25 stone and had a lide crisis but hes been doing well at building his star power since he returned and hs based himself in the USA with a US promoter.
Youll probably see a lit more of them all soon because with Fury, Wilder and Ruiz all based in the US and likely Joshua returning there if he beats Ruiz its gonna be all the hyoe in boxing fir the next few years.
And tbf to Ogogo he is an Olympic medalist. He just didnt transfer to the pros very well and then had a bad eye injury that retired him.
AEW's official Twitter is a touch annoying. Jimmy Havoc is making his 'long awaited' return to AEW on Dark tonight. :dunno:
They were also running a countdown yesterday to a 'major announcement'. All day, every hour. Ended up being announcing the next town Dynamite is going to be in. :blah:
And I'm now getting porn on my timeline because AEW follows the porn site Brazzers.
OK, that last one is kinda funny.
I find all of Twitter annoying, to be honest.
I use it more than any other social media site. I do need to keep my 'following' to a minimum though, or it can get annoying and repetitive.
Watching AEW Dark. QT Marshall looks decent, Peter Avalon looks like a tube of toothpaste that’s been squeezed empty except for his head.
Sonny Kiss... *farts*. Fucking dork. How can any gay person see this guy flouncing and bouncing around like a sweet transvestite from Transylvania and actually like his shit? He’s a walking, talking gay stereotype who sexually harasses men by slamming his ass into their heads.
Dustin Rhodes deserves better than this bullshit.
Somehow, in a match with Sonny Kiss playing a gay gimmick as subtle as a punch to the face and dressed like a gay pride parade float, the queerest looking thing in this match is Peter Avalon’s man bun.
Leva Bates is wicked hot, but she needs a gimmick change. This librarian thing is grim death.
Sonny kiss is playing an exotico, a common gimmick in Mexican wrestling but not really attested in America wrestling. He does it well and I like him. He and Dustin were a fun team and I liked that tag match a lot
Might sound hypocritical, being on a message board and all, but I wish commenting on Twitter posts, YouTube videos, news articles, etc. was banned, as I'd say 75% of them are hate filled, antagonizing filth. Ever read a Rajah.com article, then read the comments? It's a bit ridiculous how people act towards each other when it's mostly anonymous.
Back to AEW, and this is a question I've been thinking a lot. What makes that sound in the ring? How come it doesn't happen in a WWE ring?
was that a new theme?
Time for AEW...
https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images...w3_400x400.jpg
was it a new opening theme tonight?
sammy getting real heat is cool.
i like establishing the buckshot as something that can end a match. good opener.
That Buckshot is a better finisher than that dangerous and kinda complicated looking reverse package piledriver thing. Its easier to pull off and he can do it to more guys, easier. Hell, he can do it two guys at once. Its a good, dynamic finish.
Did they really just have Private Party talking to The Rock N' Roll Express in the picture-in-picture window?
I can hear Jim Cornette's aneurysm from here.
Why couldn't this Japanese school girl be AEW's Women's Champion instead of Riho.
She looks like an eighth grader at least. Riho looks like she's still in kindergarten.
Poor Rock 'N' Roll Express.
They're NWA Powerrrrrrr's tag-team champions, but they get punked out by Not LAX in AEW.
Are Not LAX AEW exclusive?
Bring them in for a shot on NWA Powerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and have The Rock 'N' Roll work with them.
ok this interview is going too long
as the kids say, cringe.
Well gee, Rick, that fucking sucked.
This is a goddamn joke.
