Bleh. That's a no for me. Thankfully with a 4 minute trailer I feel like I've already seen the movie.
John Cena has the looks and sound of Vin Diesel's brother, I'll give them that, but I can't imagine watching a movie where those two dullards are the leads.
Big year for Chris Rock coming up, with Fargo and Spiral. This looks good, and I never liked the Saw series (not that I thought they were bad I'm just not into the torture horror genre).

"You wanna play games, motherfucka?"
Oh God. SAW as a franchise kind of got too convoluted and up its own ass with its overlapping and interconnecting timelines and congruent "this sequel happened 10 minutes before this one started, but it also ended fifteen minutes after the one after that ended and somehow everybody is walking around the same warehouse full of traps but nobody bumps into each other" bullshit for me.
But that? That looks like good fun. A proper untying of everything and rebooting the whole idea. And it has two strong protagonists, who might not wind up being victims tied to a radiator, since Danny Glover in the first SAW.
I'm cautiously optimistic.

Fargo?
Is Chris Rock doing a Fargo movie? Or is he going to be on the TV show?
Yes
Yea he is the lead of the upcoming 4th season of Fargo
Cautiously optimistic since it's the same director as Saw 2-4 and has done nothing but mediocre horror movies since. Same writers as a bunch of sub par horror movies, but Chris Rock has changed it up some. Ehh... we'll see.
For a bit I thought Chris Rock was Chris Tucker and I almost made a "is this a Rush Hour sequel?" joke.
I can't tell two famous black men apart. Am I a racist?
Yes.
Tom Hanks vs submarines..

I dig it.
I think Tenet is the one movie that I haven't seen change it's scheduled release date. It's only a couple months away. I hope theaters can safely reopen by then. Looking forward to that one.
The twist will be Tenet will end with John David Washington reversing time in the real world to before COVID hit and he'll stop the animals in the Wuhan wet market from mixing their shit together and creating it. So if you see the movie in theaters, you'll walk out back into the normal world with no pandemic. Next level Nolan.
That’s a hard pass for me.
You won't pass on my American pickle
I think it looks good. Seth Rogen was lowkey one of the best actors of the 2010s.
It looks pretty alright, and may turn out really good. But isn't Rogan just the same schticky act all the time now?
Hipster duffus alwasy getting enlightened with exaggerated reaction to common things/occurances. Which of course is by and large the entire plot of this film, so ok I guess.
Maybe I haven't seen enough of his work to really say, idk.
Seth's underrated, no doubt.
That looks pretty good.

Delayed a year though. Another 365 days of getting amped up I suppose. Cannot wait.
Yeah, I've kind of soured on Halloween 2018, but this teaser trailer has me all excited again.
I never knew Rob Zombie remade the Halloween movies in 2000's. HA.
That’s a pretty intense scene and Jamie Lee’s reaction was really good but I wish they would of debuted it in the movie instead of a trailer. The biggest thing about 2018 that bothered me was a majority of the best scenes were in the trailers, granted nobody forced me to watch every trailer 20xs over but thats like taking an alcoholic to an open bar and saying don't drink.
I'm so bummed that Halloween Kills isn't coming out this year. I've read the spoilers. The scale is bigger and Michael Myers will be at his absolute worst.
I'd much rather have some new Friday The 13th movies.
This looks like it's gonna be super cool. I hope it brings some much deserved attention to Dr Ralph too.

I’m getting on the hype train for this one
Hell yeah. Looks like it should be dope.

Ehh. Still not sold on him being Batman.
I get not being completely immersed in Pattinson as Wayne, but literally every single thing about that trailer was mouth-watering.
More than enough to take my money and give as much benefit of the doubt as can be.
Yeah fuck it I’m into that shit
Where the fuck is @Morrison I need his thoughts.
ive watched the trailer like four times now and I’m really all-in on it.
Looks like it'll be good to me.
Looks great. That beatdown was the shit
Looks like they’re leaning in to the relationship between Batman and the cops, which I’m really interested in. Great trailer. The tone and aesthetic look different to both Nolan and Snyder’s versions, which is what I wanted - there’s a definite Long Halloween vibe to it.
Looks awesome. Definitely looking forward to it. I think Pattinson will be a great Wayne and a great Batman.
 Sign me up. Definitely has a different vibe to it than previous stuff. Very intriguing. No problem with Pattinson, either.
Just rewatched it and finally caught Colin as Penguin... that right there is some solid makeup right there.
You hold on to grudges way to easy. Does this all stem from the dude being in twilight?
i wanted to wait for my boner to deflate a bit.
love it. after the ledger casting and how that turned out, i learned to not really get invested in the casting, so pattinson never got any ill attention out of me. i was more just focused on how it looked and the potential story, and this trailer gave me nice tingles about both. im in the minority in that i was a big fan of the batfleck era batman-heavy films, so it's not as if I've been pining for an acceptable take since 2012, but i do love gritty, dark, grounded stories with the characters in this universe, and really don't get tired of it. it looks like smaller scale story, centering around this murder, that exposes the past and current corruption and secrets of the city, which will be a welcome approach, if it ends up going that way. i dont need some giant scoped, city wide supervillain plot to drive every comic book film for me anymore.

This looks pretty good

Looks pretty good. I am going to start reading the book this week. This cast is stacked.
Looks okay. I've never read the books or seen any previous adaptations so I viewed it with virgin eyes. Doesn't look like something that would get me to the theater unless it got really good reviews.
However, having just ready the synopsis of the book on wikipedia, I'm definitely interested in reading it. Does it hold up well?
I'm only 30 pages into it, so it right now.
I've been intrigued because Denis Villeneuve is the director. I've been a big fan of his since Prisoners. Arrival, Sicario, and Blade Runner 2049 were all great.
For some reason, Dune has some Mad Max mixed with Lord of the Rings vibes for me. I am digging the trailer. Great cast. I am loving everything Bautista touches lately, so pumped for this.
Doesn't look remotely interesting to me. Not really my genre, I guess. Handful of actors I like in there, though.

Not sure I can put up with Adam Sandler talking like that for 90 minutes.
Julie Bowen has aged like fine wine
It's gonna be a no for me, dawg.
Aaron muthafuckin' Sorkin.

lmao what a concept and what a trailer
I dont know that the movie will be good (likely not) but the trailer is worth the ride
Alrighty then. That looks like something.

I liked the comic, I'll give it a shot.
That's different.
I’ll never forgive Gibson for having his meltdown right before he was due to start shooting the movie adaptation of Under and Alone, one of my favorite books. It’s been in development hell since then.
Hyped for this. Awesome book, highly recommend reading it. Tough to read in some spots, for me, because it reminds me of my dad's family in upstate NY.

This is quite the trailer. Very long and revealing FYI. Basically Bob Odenkirk in a John Wick kind of action thing, except he has a family has kept his John Wick-ness under wraps for a long time.
Saul Goodman as an action star? I’m intrigued...
Never mind. Trailer wasn’t real.
Not a real trailer unfortunately
I thought bits of it looked familiar...probably a good chunk of that was from that Legacy web series from a few years back...

full trailer for the snyder cut, with looks at black suit supes and a moment of leto joker to close it out.
i'm in the minority when it comes to the snyder films. i really don't like man of steel, but BvS i saw two or three times in the theater and kinda love it and i was totally okay with justice league(though obviously now not considered a snyder film). once affleck bowed out from the role and it seemed DC was going changing up their approach, i just shrugged it off; i was perfectly fine with chalking the DCEU as a failure, keeping what worked(gal gadot and jason momoa) and rebooting or retooling what didn't work or what was being left behind(batfleck, leto joker, cavill supes), so when people started clamoring for the snyder cut of justice league, i didn't really give a shit. i didn't expect it to be much different from the final product we got out of whedon, and ultimately it wasn't going to matter, anyway. never expected it to happen, but now that it has, i can't help but be interested. i'll definitely check it out when it drops.
So the movie is just called Zack Snyder's Justice League?
I read that they nixed plans to release it as a 4-part series and are instead just releasing it as a 4-hour movie. Not that it's a big deal, but I'd personally much prefer they break it up into a series. A 4 hour movie is too long.
Anyway the trailer looks fine. I'm not on the hype train for this but I expect I'll sign up for HBO Max at some point this year and give it a go, depending on how well it's received by fans/critics.
4 hours for a film I think is fine. Especially if your watching at home. It’s not like people wouldn’t binge watch that much Netflix in one go.
I’m down with a four hour film if I’m watching it at home. Not like I’ll be watching it in one sitting anyways so four hours is cool for me.
People use this argument a lot but I think the argument to be made with tv shows is they're a half hour to an hour and give you a set stopping point. Movies don't always have good stopping points because they're not made to. An hour into some movies could be the most important part, the most action heavy part, the most plot relevant part, etc. A lot of TV shows also have that "previously on" part so that they can remind you where you left off.
If I watch a 4 hour movie I need to be able to brag about it later like I'm sophisticated. Like Malcom X or any musical.
A 4 hour movie is a long fucking movie idc what excuse people use. We barely have movies that are longer than 2 hours.
I'm also not someone who watches these long ass movies in parts. It takes me out of it if I have to stop 2 hours in, go do some shit, then come back. Then when it's done it's like trying to remember every lyric to an album you just listened to for the first time. You remember parts, but then you have to go back and watch that 4 hour movie again and again because you know for a fucking fact you're not going to catch everything.
So it's a double edged sword. The movie looks fucking dope, but IMHO they should have kept it a 4 part series because more people, IMHO, would have given it a shot.

action looks good, I’ll watch it
Yep. I was a big fan of the first 2 despite the obvious issues that have been beaten to death, mainly the fact they made them PG-13 but again, I get it.
This time around everything definitely looks good and while I'm not 100% down with the story, that's ok. The trailer alone looks better than the first 2.
I will certainly watch it. Don't have high expectations, or even medium expectations, but I will certainly watch it. Going to go into it with B-movie vibes.
Yes, but shows are structured as they are because of advertising. Even shows on Netflix, Amazon, HBO etc, follow structural conventions that have existed for decades upon decades to appeal to advertisers and to offer hooks to viewers watching.
With stopping points, don't forget intermissions used to be a thing. I'm old enough to remember ice cream vendors going round the cinema at a natual gap in the movie. Most films have at least one point where there's a lull to let things breathe. Only big (in length and popularity terms) film I can think of that doesn't is Infinity War.
I think the point is though that how are you the viewer supposed to really know you've reached that point? When it's broken up by the editors/directors they've seen the entire film and know what good natural breaking points would be.
4 hours is a long time.
MK looks worth checking out. The main thing people didn't like about the old flick was it wasn't R-rated and gory so while hopefully it's better in other areas, as well, at the very least, if they just added that missing piece, it should be pretty decent.
But I'd argue they've stayed structured that way even with lack of advertising because it works.
I've never seen a film intermission in person unless you count Harry Potter movies that have an orchestra playing.
Super excited for the Mortal Kombat movie, there's a reason I've had Subzero in my usernames since I was like 15.
If the movie or show or whatever it is that you're watching is good enough, it won't even feel like it's been 4 hours. Titanic came and went and that was 3 horus plus because it was a good movie. LTOR seemed like an eternity to get through because it's just not good for me.
I have no interest in watching a 4 hour film.
But I DO have an interest in watching Mortal Kombat. I'm such a sucker for MK, I was even looking up the terrible TV show the other day, loved it! I would rather than they did a proper narrative like the one they did in MK: Deception though, the tournament format is a bit old.
Which TV show? The webseries one they did? Or the animated one?
Oh god I forgot that show existed. I think I only ever caught a couple episodes of it and it did not grab me.
Yep that used to be on after Nitro I believe. After Nitro had all those weird fucking shows.
Definitely excited. I'm a huge fan, I liked all the movies and shows. I used to have all the GI Joe-style figures when I was younger and definitely spent a couple grand on the arcade games lol.
I don't like the Fast Furious franchise all that much, but I love their trailers.

Looks like fun.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V0ARqmnzSk
The first one wasn't good but it was fun. I'd be a lot more excited for this one if the first one wasn't already the same thing.
That trailer is totally telling me if you like the first one you'll like this and if you didn't you won't which is fine by me since I really liked the first one.
