I'm happy he gets to spend 6-7 months with his French-Canadian family.
Here's to hoping that when he comes back they keep him face. And then after a month Sami comes back. And everyone is like
"Oh yay! Look at them hug! Both back. Friends forever!"
Then
Personally, I think a Sami heel turn on Owens would be far more interesting. Sami finally comes to the realisation that Owens was holding him back.
Heel Zayn versus face Owens would be a fresh take on the never ending rivalry. I'd prefer that, as well.
I'd have them both return together, then Owens gives a gushing speech about how great a friend Sami is who says nothing. Sorta Festival of Friendship-esque, then Owens gets nailed with a Helloova kick then Sami goes after his knee again. He explains all the week after.
I'd love a short Jericho return for a Zayn-Owens angle, for him to warn Zayn to watch his back, Jericho is found backstage knocked out and we're supposed to think it's Owens, and there's the Zayn heel turn.

Jericho is so old he uees the equator as a belt.
Sami needs to continue the tradition and put KO through a window/television.

Isn't that Jericho/HBK part where HBK got all wonky eyed.
Now that it's been made official, I thought I'd post it here. WWE has announced that Becky Lynch suffered a severe concussion and broken face last night on RAW. Classifying it as a broken face rather than a broken nose has me concerned. I don't know if this means she'll have to wrestle with a face mask like Cody.
http://wrestlingnews.co/wwe-news/wwe...re-concussion/
I also found an article from last month that stated Becky was dealing with a fractured jaw. She confirmed it. It makes me wonder if this has anything to do with the facial part of the injury.

Gee thanks Nia.
It was only the biggest match at Survivor Series.
I won't be able to watch Survivor Series this Sunday.

Fuck you and your fist you fat fuck.
The Man was savage with the reply, as usual.
I did legit LOL at Nia's comment though. "We don't deliver the mail" Fuckin right. Shit happens. Unlike Brie where she just kept kicking that poor girl in the fucking face, this was one shot, shit happens. Trust me, Becky has been hurt worse. She had to do the job to Carmella, that's the equivalent of sucking an elephant's trunk through your butthole.
LES B HONESS
The only reason anyone is up in arms about this is due to the match change. Which I don't see the issue, it's a huge fucking match STILL. Boo hoo no 3 week build. Now we get a match that is just as if not bigger and then we have this match to go back to down the road when it'll matter 100x more.
That's what I don't get. Becky is surpassing Charlotte as we speak, wouldn't the smarter move be to build toward the more over of the 2 women? And let's not forget about another mega fight: Asuka v. Rousey. My penis is getting hard. see ya!
I say let's take back almost 20 when women who did a 100th of Becky Lynch can do were 100x more over, on the cover of magazines, presenting awards, guest spots on t.v. shows that weren't on USA, doing movies that weren't just what the WWE shelled out.
Ali is fucking great and I really hope he gets the belt. He should have won it over Cedric.
That's what I'm saying!
it's mind blowing how cringey you manage to be.
Maybe. He turned heel in Ring of Honor, had the wonderful Veda Scott as his manager, and he was pretty stale. He just comes across as a try hard when he was a heel, like if he saw a video of someone making fun of him as a heel, that's what Cedric's heel persona is like.
The problem with Cedric and many, many, many wrestlers is that they literally spend so much time trying to get over by backflipping over the top to the outside onto 7 other generic little dudes, that they have no psychology.
I was watching a great match on 205 Live last night. TBK and Akira v. Gulash and Liam Gallgher. There were some high spots sure, but it all made sense.
Then out comes Cedric and Lashley's 7 year old nephew. Some of the shit they did was breathtaking, but that was it. It's like the tired analogy that Jim Cornette uses when describing wrestling these days and that's it's more Cirque Du Soleil and not "staged fighting". Very few high spot flying dudes have meaning behind the shit they do these days.
It's why I'm glad Ricochet is in a place that can blend all his skills together and not just amaze us with a daredevil flying assault.
Cedric should turn heel next time he and Ali meet.
Cedric has continued to show he's an immense talent, but has yet to find that thing that sets him apart from everybody else. He has no real hook. I think he and Lio Rush would be a great duo (better than Lashley). Lio would take the lead as the mouthpiece and Cedric would have more the play off of.
So Strowman is actually legit injured and undergoing what is hopefully a minor procedure.
If he's been working with this injury for a while this would make a ton of sense. They've been hiding him in tag matches for a while, mostly just letting him do his main spots and then the rest of the time he's just been a promo.
The Brock match being short makes more sense now as well. Not that I minded that match. I thought they found a way to put the belt on Brock and still have Braun look like a stud who is nearly impossible to beat even when sneak attacking him before the bell.
And obviously not putting the title on him makes more sense now.
I just hope it really is a minor deal and he's back to win the Rumble. I mean this is his year to do all that. Win the rumble, main event mania. Although honestly I'd do Seth/Braun for the title as Seth could be the guy to really get a great match out of Strowman on the biggest night in wrestling.
He has bone spurs in his elbow. Considering they already set up the match at TLC, it must not be too serious.
Strowman doesn't get injured. It's all a storyline created to think that Karen Bourbon has a chance.
Strowman is Barret and Corbin is Scarlet. He'll come back with a gun arm.
Reports are citing that Rowan has been cleared. Harper got some procedure done to get some stuff cleaned up while Rowan was out, knowing he wasn't going to be used. He has been cleared, as well. Bludgeons should be back when creative is ready to use them.
Zayn has been at the PC rehabbing, according to Meltzer. Also according to him, the plan is to keep Owens off TV until after Mania.
I'm really curious what they're going to do with those 2 when they return.
Probably nothing
Which 2? Harper and Rowan will probably come back to the top of the tag division where they belong. Owens and Zayn are another story - whether they put them back together, or split them and put them on different brands, they are both incredibly talented performers, who have been sorely missed.
It's going to be hard to screw up the returns of Zayn and Owens because they're damn good and they're over. That's not to say WWE can screw it up because they have done that before, but it's going to be pretty hard for them to do it. I'll say it's even more difficult because you really can do literally anything with them to start and it's probably working. Zayn comes back and rehashes his heel character, he comes back a rejuvenated face, he works heel against Owens, he teams with Owens. With Owens, you can do all of those same scenarios with Zayn.
I'd love if they came back beardless. To both Bludgeon Brothers and Owens/Zayn. I feel like everyone has facial hair. It's like the modern day long hair schtick.
Honestly, I have not been a huge fan of Rowan because his in-ring work is sometimes lacking, but mostly because I think he pales next to, and has been has been holding Harper back. I didn't like the look of the Bludgeon brothers because the Styrofoam mallets were too cheesy, and I thought Harper's hillbilly look with the torn jeans and gray wifebeater was fantastic.
Just read that Dakota Kai tore her ACL. :\
John Matrix: "Let off some steam, Dakota"
Lay off please ya beard haterz
According to Meltzer, Akam has a leg injury and is apparently going to be out for a couple of months. An already weak tag division on Raw gets weaker...
No wonder AOP have been off TV.
I still can't believe there are two women and two tag divisions. And how dead the tag division is now, especially after the spark of life it had previously.
Seems like on RAW the decision to have Nicholas & Braun win the tag titles was the start of the decline of the division on the show. Factor in other injuries - surely Sami & Kevin could have had a go with the tag titles had neither been hurt - and WWE should be more interested in signing or developing other tag teams instead of just pairing two guys together.
It's funny you got two guys called the Authors of Pain who look like they can't read or write.
But can they color?
Strangely yes, and even stay inside the lines.
They should at least have AOP on-screen with Drake where he's punishing them losing the titles and making them do simple things like coloring and multiplication tables.
So... Matt Hardy cleared to return. Apparently he's not broken after all.
If he goes to AEW, would he be "Spoken" Matt Hardy?
I was thinking "ken" is trademarked by WWE now so he could come in as Jokin' Matt Hardy. He could get his material from the Crappy wrestling jokes thread to subdue his opponent.
Bro Ken vs Matt riddle
Ember out "a while" due to elbow surgery.
That sucks. Hope it's not long.
Fair point. After almost winning the Evolution battle royal, i was hoping they'd keep on giving her some spotlight and build her up into a title contender but instead she's just been treading water as of late.
If I could pick one woman on Raw not named Sasha to give more attention to, it would be Ember.
You can add Ember's name to the list of Wrestlers that WWE started pushing and then completely forgot about. What happened to her feud with Nia?
Ember is someone who I don't think creatively they know what the fuck to do. She's supposed to be all about the werewolf life, why not incorporate SOMETHING other than contacts? Her promo is bland and her work is top notch but it lacks something, idk, power?
She has a cool look and again, good in the ring, outside of that....They called her up too soon imo.
All Creative could come up with for Ember was calling her the "She-nom".
I think Ember is great.... but could easily get lost on RAW especially. Not her fault.
It's Mania season so you know Rollins is hurt. He's dealing with a back injury. Not deemed as serious but is likely not doing much physically for the next few weeks. Styles apparently has a hernia.
Everyone is always hurt this time of year seems like.
Then it's time to push reliable talent who don't get injured.
That would be the Miz, and Dolph Ziggler. Both have stayed pretty reliably free from the injury bug. AJ Styles definitely avoided injuries for a long, long time before his hernia.
But as for guys who stayed healthy forever, they won't be bringing Jericho back, and both Kane and Ric Flair are retired.
I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head who avoided the injury bug.
Styles had a torn hamstring, which he talked about on his 365 Documentary on the Network.
Could easily change and have to see it first but went ahead and put this as a spoiler as a precaution.
Bummer. :\ That would drastically decrease my interest in the match.
It sucks, but I'm glad they're being cautious. It opens up a spot, so I'm curious who'll be added.
Add Almas and let him go fucking wild. If the goal is to team him with Mysterio he's going to have to turn face anyway so why not do it in the match by doing ninja shit.
That's a good shout. Would love to see what Almas can do in a match like that.
Yeah, if they replace him with Andrade, that does well toward renewing my interest.
Ali apparently suffered a concussion late last week. Was dealing with a tailbone issue, got his eye swollen shut last Tuesday, and now this. Rough stretch for him.
Tailbone injuries are a pain in the ass.
Whackity Schmackity Doooooooooooooo
noam dar and mark Andrews possibly injured
Nothing official official but dots can be connected and it makes sense. Meltzer reported that Ciampa is dealing with an injury but the nature and severity of it is unknown. It's enough of an issue to a point where he was planning to work through Mania weekend and then get it addressed afterwards. That would make sense as to why there was a singles match booked between Gargano and Cesaro (which was ultimately scrapped).
PWInsider added on by saying Ciampa is dealing with a neck issue, an injury that has been lingering for at least 4-5 weeks.
Mustafi Ali was back working at the house show last night. Should be interesting to see how he is used going forward. Seems iffy for him to be on Smackdown Tuesday with it being the go home for Fastlane.
