This year's sponsors of the new, exciting addition to RFF are Just Juice - available at all good stockists. Other juices are available.

Just Juice have noted the success of the "Coca-Cola Kid" Colin Kazim-Richards when Coca Cola sponsored his purchase by Brighton & Hove Albion for the princely sum of £250,000, when chosen by a fan who won the competition.

There will be a competition this Friday evening (UK time) which you will all be invited to take part in.

Just Juice player will be Josh King (Bournemouth) and he is, as of now, unavailable to be transferred into your squads. With rumours of a transfer to Aston Villa or Tottenham, this reliable striker will be a welcome addition for any squad - particularly as he will go into any squad as a 9th player. Josh will be unavailable to be transferred out or traded, and will remain in your squad as a 9th "pick" for the rest of your season, to be used whenever you wish in your starting five, or in the cups when all players play.

A wonderful bonus, and one that surely every manager would be interested in having ahead of a testing season.

The Just Juice Kid Josh King says: "I'm delighted to be sponsored by Just Juice, who do bloody great juice. I can't wait to see which club picks me up. Buy Just Juice. See you Friday."

It's weird everytime i see a player being signed who I have no idea who they are, I am always impressed. like FUCK ALEX IS PUTTING IN WORK BRUH

This guy seems like the archetypal RFF punt. Banged them in at amateur level may go off at this level or just get pissed and never play. I SALUTE IT

Rosk's Rambling Roundup (Week One)

Whilst we of course have no real insight into how the table will end up by judging one game (and of course with so many divisions yet to start), there were some surprise results in the first game of the season. Not Gary J winning 1-0 of course, as this happens 62% of the time.

Beefy showed his experience by bringing in a player close to kickoff who went on to score the winning goal against Mikey_Jones. Pre-season favourites Andy and Alex will be disappointed to have only got a draw, yet to score a couple of goals with so many not playing is certainly promising for the season. Ringo scraped a win on his debut performance, beating the lacklustre Chris Scott who has called me 18 times since Monday asking if there is some way I can swap Mane for Salah. son_of_foley has plenty in the tank but got humiliated this week by BBF who was fortunate to be handed a bunch of penalties by Salah – however a 4-1 win is an utterly devastating loss to take after such a promising draft.

But the game of the weekend had to be Simon vs The Beer Monster. 2-0 up through his beloved captain Auba, and a debut goal from Callum Wilson, TBM looked to have it in the bag. But a devastating Sunday and Monday – literally the worst time to concede goals ever – with a brace from Vardy and a winner from Jimenez put Simon in front, giving him a perfect start to the season.

And so, for the first interview of the season we go to the man himself:

https://i.imgur.com/4E15lh8.jpg

Interview with Simon O’Brien

Reporter: “How did you feel the draft went for you?”

Simon: “I'd go with 'satisfied'. I've downgraded that from 'delighted' after some derisive comments about me picking Bruno Fernandes”

Reporter: “When Raul Jimenez slotted home the winner against The Beer Monster on Monday, what was your first instinct?”

Simon: “I was always confident. 2-0 is famously a dangerous scoreline, and that counts double when it comes to a team as mentally fragile as TBM's. I was a little disappointed it took as long as it did, but there was never any doubt in my mind that the boys would turn it around.”

Reporter: “Who would you like to win the RFF Championship (if not you)?”

Simon: “Without a shadow of a doubt BBF. Imagine the fallout. The endless inquests into all his results. The rage from those who think he shouldn't be allowed in the league at all. The inevitability that he will have the trophy insured for a huge figure, then find his house burgled the next day.”

Reporter: “Are you concerned about the naysayers thinking you don't have the legs to last a full season?”

Simon: “To those people I say you're probably right, but you can still go fuck yourselves”

Reporter: “Thanks, Simon.”

You can now get odds of 3/1 on Simon to win the League at BetFrosk.

Rosk's Rambling Roundup (Week Two)

The second gameweek draws to a close as a few teams start the season with gusto. Surely inspired by his charismatic interviewer last week, Simon bested Chris Scott in a game for the ages, getting yet another Monday night winner through Jimenez in a 5-4 victory, despite Chris’s new signing getting on the scoresheet on their debuts. The moniker “Monday Night Raul” has now firmly been adopted. Could this be the season where Simon reaches the brass ring?

BBF has had an ideal start, with two players now getting hat-tricks in separate weeks. Ian Henderson is a man that will live long in people’s memory, but certainly in BBF’s after his 3-goal salvo was the difference between him and the again-late-to-post-his-team Mikey_Jones. The “Crazy Bale” of the RFF managerial world seems to prioritise “Maths. Crazy Golf. RFF. In That Order.”, but we all know his history and he has the ability to turn this around in one week.

Alex put in a mature performance beating out the unlucky Peter Griffin 2-0. Peter drafted well but his boys aren’t working for him at the moment. Plenty of time to go though, as Alex no doubt will attest as he waits for his National League boys to start ASAP. Beefy and Gary J played out a pretty dour 1-1 draw, the most notable part of which was when Gary J stood looking at the screen in pure shock for 5 hours after Nahki Wells equalised for Beefy, obliterating his dream of winning every game 1-0.

Another phenomenal game took place with plenty of goals between The Beer Monster and son_of_foley – three different scorers for both sides, but with Harry Kane deciding to become a puppetmaster than an actual goalscorer, the tide turned in favour of TBM who put right his unfortunate loss last week to get the three points. The return of Shanks is a big plus for the man who was previously joint last favourite to win the League at 3/1. SOF can consider himself unlucky for the first two games with scoring 4 goals with no points over two games.

And finally we saw another win for the new boy Ringo, who beat pre-season 3/1 favourite Andy (who is counting down the days until Scotland wakes up) with a hat trick from Adam Armstrong, who is looking to be an incredibly shrewd pickup in the draft. We head to an interview now with the man himself, who posed for the following picture after being asked how many wins he’s picked up:

https://media.npr.org/assets/img/2017/09/15/ringo-starr-photo-2-2017-scott-robert-ritchie_wide-c40da79310cb1d5ee76a4e3d23a215dedf4a5012-s1100-c15.jpg

Interview with Ringo

Interviewer: How has your reintroduction to RFF life been?

Ringo: It’s been fine. I didn’t really know what I was doing for the draft but I realised that most of the obvious first round picks were likely to be snapped up by the time my turn came around so I decided to look to the lower leagues for value. I’m happy with the acquisitions.

Interviewer: Adam Armstrong has scored 100% of your goals, putting you joint top of the table. Is there anything you'd like to say to Adam, right now, if he is listening?

Ringo: Not a lot really. Adam’s had a great start to the season and he’s brimming with confidence. He doesn’t need any more encouragement from me.

Interviewer: You face Peter Griffin next week. Any thoughts on how you are going to tackle this upcoming gameweek?

Ringo: Just keep doing what we’re doing. I’m backing the misfiring players. I want to give them time to hit their stride before making any rash decisions. So for the moment, nothing changes. I admire Peter Griffin’s no nonsense managerial approach. He doesn’t run his mouth in the media, let’s his team do the talking on the pitch. It’s refreshing. We’re looking forward to the weekend.

Interviewer: Who do you think is the early favourite for the title?

Ringo: Has to be BBF really, doesn’t it? He’s in great form. Two wins out of two. Eight goals scored. They’re clearly the team to beat. We’re releshing the chance to face them later on this season.

Interviewer: Who do you want to finish bottom, and why?

Ringo: I’m new to RFF and I don’t think it’s really my place to start calling for the downfalls of more experienced managers. No comment.

Interviewer: Ohhhh, you’ve got a lot to learn, son. Nice guys finish last. You need to learn to HATE the other managers. If you want to get far in this game, you can’t have respect for people. You can’t fanny around like Beefy does with his trophyless cabinet. You’ve got to be an arsehole like Alex. You’ve got to be devastating at finding the right pickups like Torn/Mikey Jones. You’ve got to fight like Andy. You’ve got to wish injuries on opposition strikers. You’ve got to want people to get hurt, cry and lose to you. RFF is everything. Don’t start out like this or you’ll soon find yourself on the end of a few pastings, son. Hello? Hello? Ringo? Are you there? Hello?

Rosk’s Rambling Roundup (Week Three)

Three weeks down and a pattern seems to be emerging..

Sneaky Simon inches over the line with a hotly disputed 100th minute penalty despite leaving a hat-trick on the bench vs a hapless Andy, for whom the SFL players cannot come quickly enough. son_of_foley faces another heartbreaking defeat despite scoring two goals, with the maniac Chris Scott of all people getting the win through a Merseyside-based duo and Patrick fucking Bamford. Fortune has to favour SOF soon.

Mikey_Jones can’t seem to get his best mate Sterling Bonne to score at the minute, this week being humbled by last year’s Wooden Spoon winner The Beer Monster who is going from strength to strength now that Shanks is scoring on the regular like the God he is. Beefy and BBF played out a dull 1-1 draw, exciting nobody and would have fit in nicely in the "Worst Games Ever!" set that was due to be Danny Baker's next VHS compilation before the model became obsolete.

Alex continues to get results whilst not playing well – the sign of a good team as many say, as he beat the “1-0 champ” Gary J with a two-goal salvo from his favourite player Matty Taylor, seemingly justifying his high pick in the draft. Gary’s defence must have got COVID this week…

Adam Armstrong continues to be the shining light for Ringo, yet again being his only goalscorer, but nonetheless helping him to his third win in three against a devastated Peter Griffin, who sits at the bottom of the table. Griffin’s chairman actually tweeted an apology after the game, much to Peter's chagrin, and we managed to catch up with the manager after the game…

https://i.imgflip.com/1hwtbk.jpg

Interview with Peter Griffin:

Interviewer: So Peter, your first 3 weeks could have gone better. You haven’t got a point, or a goal yet, and the fans are starting to get on your back. The red tops have this morning gone with a headline of “Gonad Griffin” and put your face on a testicle. What do you say to your naysayers?

Peter Griffin: Frankly the players are letting me down, In theory this is the most talented squad I have ever had, I can only do so much, once they take to the pitch its up to them. Also I would like to point out I would have had a goal if I'd have kept Donny, The only reason I got rid is a certain person mocked me for drafting him.

Interviewer: Who would you like to finish bottom?

Peter Griffin: Alex

Interviewer: Have you got your eyes on the transfer market at the moment? Are we expecting any eye-opening transfers to buck the trend?

Peter Griffin: I think at this point tinkering has gotten me nowhere, That said If a certain JS wants to return to the UK I will do all I can to sign him.

Interviewer: Who are you backing to be your star man this season?

Peter Griffin: I mean the easy answer is Werner, But I think Watkins has the potential to be special.

Interviewer: With 30 games to go, what is your goal for this season?

Peter Griffin: To finish second bottom.

Interviewer: That’s the spirit. Aim high Peter. One win and your mood will lift, and the boys will play with freedom. But if you ever so help me God wish ill on Alex again, I’ll end you.

Rosk’s Rambling Roundup (Week Four)

As we round off Gameweek 4 before the international week gives the RFF managers a break, this week saw (finally) some positivity for the useless pricks at the bottom of the table and a few shocks too...

For instance, Gary J shocked the world by scoring two goals in a game – Kevin Nisbet got a whole packet of Jamie Oliver’s Linguine (200g) sent to him by Gary J for doubling the week’s xG, alas BBF responded with two braces from Salah and the awakening JCH to claim another win. Strong form from BBF who surely must be joint favourite for the league on this form.

Andy has had a month to forget. son_of_foley deserved the luck his previous performances had missed this week, with Harry Kane getting a free few goals at a shit ten-man United, with no reply from Andy’s depressed, hollow squad. The transfer window closing with neither Edouard or Morelos leaving will give him hope for the next run of games however.

Ringo was shocked that someone whose name wasn’t Adam Armstrong scored for him against Alex. Top draft pick Eoin Doyle scored his first for the team, only to be cancelled out by recent pickup Nahki Wells. A pretty dull draw here to be honest – both need to do better in upcoming gameweeks if the title is a realistic aim.

The Beer Monster continues his impressive form with barely breaking sweat on course to his victory over Beefy. Rodriguez is looking a surprisingly tidy pickup, as could both Bale and Cavani be if they can continue their goalscoring form from 2012-2018 at their respective new clubs. Beefy needs Aguero and Meggs back more than he needs to realise the RPL Trophy was a fantasy.

The game of the weekend was undoubtedly Simon vs Peter Griffin – Simon looked to be in control yet again with goals from Fernandes (pen) and a brace from evergreen James Vaughan, but Peter Griffin stormed back with a 150/1 shot with Sir Ollie Watkins getting a hat trick to equalise. Simon shouldn’t be disappointed with his outstanding start to the season – but Peter can finally smile now that he’s off the mark, and no longer a gimme in the fixtures list.

But the biggest sigh of relief came when ex-champ Mikey_Jones fought his way to a 3-1 win against currently-hating-football Chris Scott. His first win of the season couldn’t come soon enough…

Interview with Mikey_Jones:

Interviewer: “Mikey Jones and me tell each other fairytales and we stare at the beautiful women – she’s looking at you, ah no no, she’s looking at me” – who is the most beautiful member of your squad?

Mikey_Jones: I didn't know what half of them looked like so I've done my research. Happy to give this to Macauley "Bon" Bonne, a very handsome man. Raheem "The Dream" Sterling is a close second and it's clear why Sterling Bonne is the core of the team.

Interviewer: Rate your draft out of 10 and explain your reasons.

Mikey_Jones: I've purposely not made any transfers to give the lads I drafted a chance. Saying that, we have 7 goals (Ringo has 6) and I don't think our league position reflects this good work. I'll say a 6/10 for the draft

Interviewer: Who do you want to win the league (if not you)?

Mikey_Jones: BBF to silence the haters

Interviewer: And who would you like to finish bottom, if you had to choose?

Mikey_Jones: Ringo since he's only scored 6 goals. He's one of those wankers who focuses on defence in RFF (2 goals conceded? Fuck off). Turnabout is fair play and he will get his just desserts

Interviewer: When Ivan Toney scored his second goal this weekend giving you a practically unassailable lead against Chris Scott, what were your immediate thoughts?

Mikey_Jones: Delighted for The Tiger, really proving his worth. However, my first thought was absolute relief that I didn't lose to Chris Scott of all people. Imagine the shame.

Interviewer: U ok hun?

The Rosk
October 20th, 2020, 6:51 AM
Rosk’s Rambling Roundup (Week Five)

A long break for some over the international period, with a few coming back determined and hungry, with others clearly suffering from breaking lockdown guidelines.

Records show that not a single fan paid £14.95 to watch Gary J vs Ringo. Not even Adam Armstrong could save this mess of a match. No goals, no chances, a drab dull draw wasting the time of everyone involved. The managers will no doubt be unhappy with their teams – double training sessions for all ahead of GW6.

Simon continued his unexpected run of form with a fine 3-0 victory over an Alex team that has yet to make its true mark on the league this year. Rumours that Ross McCormack is creating a few issues in the dressing room are not yet substantiated, yet he still has the manager’s unrelenting backing. Time will tell whether Simon’s band of rugged Tier 2 talent can keep this title fight up over 33 games.

Mikey_Jones continued his form from GW4 with a second victory, running riot over a hapless Andy with the biggest score this week. The Tiger looks to be a inspired pickup. The one remaining positive for Andy is that his SFL players are now finally playing, with Boyce kicking off the season with a goal. Are Murray and Ryan going to kick on ASAP?

son_of_foley has been due some luck and he got it this week when Peter Griffin missed out on a point by not fielding Cameron Jerome on time. 3 goals by SOF’s PL stars sneaked the victory with Werner’s first brace a mere consolation in this Derby derby. 11 goals for SOF already - don't sleep on him.

Game of the week was undoubtedly the match between Beefy and Chris Scott who fought to a chaotic 3-3 draw. Beefy’s SFL superstars started as he hopes they will go on with 3 goals between them (Meggs as usual taking the absolute piss), after the Merseyside derby gave Chris an early 2-0 lead. A contentious Zaha penalty evened matters, and the two managers embraced after the game for 45 minutes – both happy not to lose. Not the best attitude to take gents. You should want to end each other.

Unfortunately this week wasn’t to be for The Beer Monster – a complete blank for all his players meant BBF had an open goal to get yet another 3 points in his title challenge, and that he did with a now-standard Salah goal and a return to the headlines for Big Blair Henderson – you remember him. And it’s with this victory that we now go to an EXCLUSIVE interview with the man in form:

https://www.dadant.com/catalog/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/308x308/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/g/s/gs040-bee-fan-web_no-text.jpg

Interview with BBF:

Interviewer: Hi BBF. Riding high and scoring goals consistently - you must be feeling pretty confident in your squad right now?

BBF: Hello, The Rosk. Its been a great start to the season but the title isn't won in 5 games. We're really confident and there isn't a man in this squad that doesn't have my full faith.

Interviewer: Have you got anything to say to the fans following the rumours about your cheating exploits last year?

BBF: My supporters have stuck by me through these allegations and that won't be forgotten. My conscience is clear, my intentions are pure and the future is bright for eBBFleet United.

Interviewer: Who is your favourite player in your squad, and what would you eat with him if forced to have dinner together at gunpoint?

BBF: Every member of the squad is special but Blair Henderson has been with me for a long time and I'd love to take him for a wee fish and chip supper

Interviewer: Who would you like to see finish bottom and why?

BBF: There's nothing more I'd love to see than Andy finishing bottom of the league by a mile.

Interviewer: A huge game next week against Chris Scott, who has Liverpool at home to Sheffield United. Any comments towards Chris at this time?

BBF: Mane and DCL. Thats the message.

Interviewer: You have no shame.

BREAKING NEWS: The Government have released new advice on the visible symptoms of COVID-19 - they are now as follows:

i) Persistent coughing
ii) Change in sense of taste or smell
iii) Being shit at RFF

It’s been a tough week again for Andy as he leaves a hat trick on the bench against Beefy, allowing the veteran an easy three points thanks to another Meggs goal. He was odds on to win as his players were sat on the bench, but somehow they managed to not score from the bench, and therefore the rank outsider Beefy managed the win (at rank outsider odds, the opposite of odds on).

Gary J pulled off another of his trademark 1-0 victories, secured by the 5th (F-I-F-T-H) goal of the season and that man Nisbet striking again. The Beer Monster has voiced his concerns in the dressing room, and in public… Shanks and Auba need to step up.

Mikey Jones made it 3 from 3 with a close, hard-fought victory over Peter Griffin. Whilst The Tiger failed to net, his National League FA Cup purchases did the trick – clever thinking by the man with a title now firmly in his mind. Wilson scoring for Peter Griffin does give him promise – a squad is certainly looking better now, and he just needs consistency.

BBF was thoroughly embarrassed by Chris Scott this week, with Patrick Bamford of all people scoring a hat-trick to end the tie before the Barnet man had even woken up. Chris has now scored the third most goals of any team in the League. Do not sleep on this man, but do question where he is getting his team ideas from - he’s a sneaky one. Onto the next one for BBF who won’t face shoeings like this every week, and remains favourite for the league at 3/1.

Adam Armstrong remains the only man in Ringo’s good books, scoring a brace to claim a draw against league leaders Simon. Another bench goal for Simon too, leaving us all to question exactly how he is managing to do this.

The performance of Gameweek 6 undoubtedly goes to previous champion, part of the first ever co-managed to win the league, the Newcastle/Fulham/Birmingham/Roy Hodgson fan Alex, who windmilled his way to a 5-0 victory over son_of_foley and now sits just three points away from the summit after a mediocre start to the season. And we’re fortunate to be able to speak with Alex right now to get his thoughts:

Interview with Alex:

Interviewer: Hello, old friend. A resounding 5-0 victory this weekend against SOF couldn’t have come sooner. Walk us through your feelings after such a heroic victory.

Alex: 10 days ago son_of_foley said I didn't have any good players to trade and this weekend I put five past him. He is a specialist in failure.

Interviewer: After winning the title in the last two leagues as part of Rolex, is it fair to say you’ve been feeling the pressure to make it a hat trick?

Alex: I have won 17% of RFF trophies ever contested. I have a nose for goalscorers. Andy lost his sense of smell for bacon but coronavirus could not take his nose for goalscorers because he never had it to lose. He exploits a niche in the market and won one title. He won the big one and deserves the respect that gains but he cannot repeat it. I want to talk about facts.

Interviewer: Who would you like to finish top (if not you) and bottom respectively?

Alex: It doesn't matter who I would like to finish bottom because I can say categorically that Ringo will finish bottom.

The Beer Monster is a nice man and he has Aubameyang which keeps him happy. It is the equivalent to the satisfaction of having 4 cans of Carling on a Friday night. I would be happy with that but I am the only player to ever win the treble. In this analogy I must aspire to the full Brewdog catalogue on a Friday night. I wish Beer Monster the very best.

My media relations team advised me not to comment on an ongoing investigation. What I will say is that BBF has been a tremendous RFF player and that he has never won a trophy is a real surprise to me. His personal contribution to the game has been significant. When you consider some of the frauds, and I won't name names, that have won the title over the years then it's a shame that BBF has become known as the Lee Westwood of RFF. I am a competitive man but I will shake the hand of my competitors before and after. If BBF won the title I would raise a glass to his achievements.

Interviewer: …

Alex: Listen, I didn't want to name names and I don't appreciate you pressing me. I think it's well known I was referring to UK Blue who won the title with just 42 points. I've heard he started an RFF consultancy when he left but hasn't had any clients and is now leaving posters on car windscreens to advertise. I was told that the picture on the poster is of Andy Mangan.

Interviewer: You face long time friend/FIFA teammate/rival Mikey Jones next week. Do you have any words for him at this time?

Alex: Mikey won Leo Messi and then he won the league. He is a very shrewd strategist. This has shown in recent years when he's partnered with some of the smartest minds in football.

Beefy has been a highly respected player for many years and he will enter the RFF hall of fame. He is the Colin Montgomery of RFF. He was a big influence on the growth of the game, he has been a good player and he has won the RPL trophy. But Steven Fletcher scored a hattrick against Gibraltar and his mantelpiece holds nothing but dust. In this analogy he gets called whenever a broadcaster wants insight into a Ryder Cup win but he wears a blue jacket because he could not win a green one. Mikey looks very fetching in his green jacket and we'll share a curry after the game.

Interviewer: Of all your current squad, which player’s chant is your favourite?

Alex: That would have to be Rhys Murphy's song to Uncle Kracker's "Follow Me"

“I'm singin'
Rhys Murphy
Everything is all right
I'll be the one to score your goals all night
And if you can believe I can guarantee
You will go and win your eighth trophy”

We sang it for Teemu Pukki after his goal Saturday but we're close to a deal where he leaves the club. If anyone reading this would like to submit a different offer then my inbox is open.

Interviewer: Pukki? Really? Interesting.
