You'd stopped me on second and third down, surely you just have to stop me on fourth? In real life I think most teams go for that. I played the Desperados and beat them soundly. I was very focused after my drunken defeat at the hands of the Browns last week. They only had a hundred and Twenty-One total yards against me. They wouldn't have scored a touchdown except that my backup running back fumbled at my own 20 in garbage time. My only turnover. Big Ben had 468 and five touchdowns with no interceptions. My WR3 Lowber is developing very nicely and my number one pick Walker Jones had an outstanding game despite the less-than-favorable feedback I got on him when he was drafted.

Of course it could be stopped. I stopped Mikey twice on fourth and short in the play-offs. It was obvious from the personnel and formation that I was going for a pass play and it didn't take a huge amount of guesswork to figure out that it was Beckham on a slant that was the target. User the zone I'm throwing into, put two players on Beckham, send any pressure so I can't get the throw off.

Of course it could be stopped. I stopped Mikey twice on fourth and short in the play-offs. It was obvious from the personnel and formation that I was going for a pass play and it didn't take a huge amount of guesswork to figure out that it was Beckham on a slant that was the target. User the zone I'm throwing into, put two players on Beckham, send any pressure so I can't get the throw off.

I'd understand your point if it was 4th and 8, or 4th and 2 at the 20, but inside the five it's the obvious play. Seems a really weird thing for you to throw your toys out over.
disagree with how obvious anything was. this just speaks to the imbalance between offense and defense. you had to pick a play, hit X and press O. meanwhile i have to make adjustments for two to three different defensive positional groups all in the span it takes you to snap the ball. it's the game mechanics that annoy me the most, it's obviously not specifically you choosing to go for it, it's what going for it sets up against the guy on defense that i hate.

My vote would be to keep the slider where it is or move it all the way up to 100 (I think it's at 70). I don't see any upside in moving it back to where it was last season - even if it makes those big plays 5% less likely that works with me.

Play always feels different at the start of a season anyway. Everything so far has done what I expect it to do.

I've thrown seven picks in one and a half games which may be partly down the the receivers not getting to where I expected them to be quickly enough. Difficult to know if that's the reason.

It's no surprise the three people who have commented against the change are the three most effective at rushing the ball over the last two seasons. Big plays still happen in the passing game. Yes we can all still throw crossing routes over the middle because the AI doesn't deal with them very well. It doesn't make much of a difference there. What also happens is linebackers and slow defensive lineman can now run down faster players because Pablo threw a few bombs one week. In the earlier game Miotch's defensive lineman was essentially running the same speed as McCoy in a foot race. Not cool.

MMH's running game was huge yesterday. I couldn't deal with it at all.

My throwing was really off yesterday but it was fine (ish) against MMH in the playoffs so I'm willing to side on me just being a bit shit yesterday but I've had a similar problem to Beefy with throwing into wide open space which I think is the receivers not getting from a to b quickly enough.
