Also a bit concerned about my Scottish picks. Thought Stranraer would have a good season but they've started terribly and Nade only has 1 in 5. Sheerin hasn't done too well either. Oh well, lots of scouting to be done this week.

Yep. There's definitely a feeling across the fanbase that Brown's tactics will never see a player score more than 10-12 goals. We just don't create that level of chances.

Doesn't seem like the soundest use of financial resources for Southend, how do you feel about it? I think he's a pretty limited player too so not at all confident in him being a worthwhile use of a second round pick going up a division regardless of the team. I just thought he was earning so much he would stay there so it was a secure keeper but maybe he is actually ambitious after all? Or Orient need to cut the wage bill.

He's a good striker and Orient fans are livid so in that sense I'm happy. With Ranger, Cox, Mooney and young Jason Williams already on the books and with no emergency loan possibilities this year I think it is a questionable decision to spend that much money on a fifth striker when we have weaknesses at centre half and central midfield, especially as we don't create that many chances anyway.
