Announced today that the show will be on pay-per-view in the United States and Canada. First AAA American pay-per-view since When World Collide all the way back in 1994.

I might order it.

*By Dave Meltzer, WrestlingObserver.comOn Tuesday, AAA announced that Hugo Savinovich and Matt Striker will be the English language broadcast team for its TripleMania PPV show on 8/9 from Arena Ciudad in Mexico City.

Savinovich had already been official as one of the two broadcasters. Striker had been in the lead for the second spot, which was finalized a few days ago.

The show is the company's first-ever TripleMania show on traditional PPV in the U.S. and its first PPV show in nearly 21 years. Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Myzteziz is the main event, in addition to Alberto El Patron vs. Brian Cage in a hair vs. hair match.*]

Interesting choice. Defrost's favorite commentator is back.

one of the biggest clusterfucks to be sure but certainly far from the most boring or most actively unpleasant to watch. it was at least a spectacle of absurdity. plus the opener was legit fun, although it too was a mess. and the main event was a good match. i'd rewatch this before a number of wwe ppvs over the last couple years.

but yes it was definitely a total mess.

On a scale of 1-10 how was the Mysterio-Mistico match? Last night I was like shit I wish I hadn't ordered that Rousey ppv this one is only 19.99. Then I heard the audio was fucked up for awhile and I can get beyond that. But all I wanted to see was this match, not sure if it would be worth it.
