Is there an option to restore an android in the same way as you can an iphone? I remember just plugging an iphone in to itunes and it restored everything exactly as it was. Unless I'm being silly (possibility) there doesn't seem to be this option for android. When I factory resetted before all my apps were in the store so I could download them but it took an age to set everything up how I had it before in terms of home screens, widgets etc.

Is there a way to do this or do I have to set everything up again?

First time my GPS stopped working and they told me a factory reset would fix it. It didn't.

This time it's doing a load of random shit, forgetting wifi passwords, turning on loud speaker at random. Was gonna try a reset and send it back to google if it doesn't work.

You would have to have backed up the rom beforehand and I'm pretty sure you need to be rooted for that.

You could always unroot it after, if that makes a difference.

Kingo Root works pretty well for rooting and unrooting.

Just did it in the boot menu in the end, didn't fix the problem. They're sending me a new one.
