How are you doing compared to expectations at the start of the season?

I thought we'd be pushing for a playoff spot, probably around 8th/9th. We're top of the league by 7 points and not looking like we're letting up. Our goal difference is 17 better than anyone else and we've scored 20 more than anyone.

Have your hopes for the end of the season changed?

Definitely. You've got to expect to win the league from here. Anything else will involved us fucking things up majorly.

What has pleased you about the season so far?

The expectation was that Charlie Mac would be the main man and he started the season with 5 in 5 but then got injured for a couple of months. BIG JOHN AKINDE has stepped up hugely though with 21 goals. We've also got Luisma on 10, and Cook on 8 so our midfield players are chipping in well too.

What has disappointed you?

Not a lot in all honesty. We've not shipped a huge amount (what you'd expect for a top of the table team) and our players are working well. The only negative is Keanu Marsh-Brown getting a bit big for his boots (he's probably the 3rd best player in our team) and rumours are he went on strike to try and force a move to Blackpool. That never materialised, he tweeted some garbage, he didn't play for a month as punishment and is now back and looking like he gives a shit.

What do you need before the close of the transfer window?

I'd like Bernard Mensah's and Hunty's loans extended to the end of the season, maybe another utility player who can cover defence and midfield but not a huge lot else really. No point trying to fix something that isn't broken.

How are you doing compared to expectations at the start of the season?

Higher in the League but only beause I didn't expect so many others to be so shit.

Have your hopes for the end of the season changed?

Yes. I would like to see my club score some goals and play nice football......... just for once.

What has pleased you about the season so far?

A couple of results were quite nice (Liverpool away but everyone beats them this year) but aside from those flukes, nothing much. It has been uninspiring dross. The team has scored 11 goals in 19 games and we lost, for the fourth time in a row, to lower league opposition in the Cup. You can get 7/1 on Blackpool beating us on NYD.

Oh, and Sanchez is looking fucking good. Okore also looked good when he came back.

What has disappointed you?

The complete lack of attacking intent. The complete lack of enthusiasm around the club. Lambert being fucking shit and stupid. Grealish not getting a start in spite of him consistently doing more in his 10 minute cameos than any of the attacking midfielders seem to.

What do you need before the close of the transfer window?

We need to keep hold of Benteke. He is the only player who can score goals. If he goes, I don't know how we can win a game. I also have no idea how this is in any way sustainable.

Alex isn't going to like this post.

How are you doing compared to expectations at the start of the season?

Badly. We are still conceding too many goals but now we aren't scoring as many. The champions league campaign was faintly embarrassing and we have been woefully lacking against the 'top four' teams. BR has a lot of work to do.

Have your hopes for the end of the season changed?

Yes, a top four place seemed a minimum at the start of the season but now it is the best we can hope for.

What has pleased you about the season so far?

Lallana is starting to look good. Sterling continues his rise. We're through to the semi's of the league cup.

What has disappointed you?

Mignolet has been shit and so has the defence. We have spent big money on players who don't seem up to it. Gerrard looks done, there is no energy in the midfield when he plays. Ballotelli has been very disappointing. Sturridge missing most of the season has had a bigger effect than people realise.

What do you need before the close of the transfer window?

A goalkeeper who can command the area and ideally a central midfielder who can take games by the scruff of the neck. Probably a new striker as well.

How are you doing compared to expectations at the start of the season?
I had high hopes. They've met them and more.

Have your hopes for the end of the season changed?
Probably a bit. Even with City really coming in to form, it'll be a massive disappointment if we don't win the league now.

What has pleased you about the season so far?
Signings have hit the ground running, big players are performing, we're playing some lovely football. We're top of the league at Christmas and still in all four competitions. Didier Drogba.

What has disappointed you?
Uh, not much. Conceding late goals against City and United was frustrating as they'd have been big wins. A few occasions when we played superbly, could have easily scored about 8 and only managed 3 or 4. 8 minutes for Loftus-Cheek in the last CL group game after Mourinho spent the press conference gushing over him and the Academy?

I can't be disappointed about anything really can I.

What do you need before the close of the transfer window?
Depends who leaves. Salah may be going on loan, Schurrle has been linked with a move too. I'm still a bit worried about our depth at the back if we have some bad luck with injuries but Zouma has really started to look the business when he's come in. My biggest concern is the number of games and lack of rotation.

How are you doing compared to expectations at the start of the season?
A little bit better, but mostly on par. I thought we'd be challenging for the CL spots but I didn't think it would be this easy.

Have your hopes for the end of the season changed?
I think we should easily get third.

What has pleased you about the season so far?
Just the change in ethos generally, we're playing to win rather than playing not to lose.

What has disappointed you?
So many injuries. Januzaj, the lack of his game time and him being able to show what he can do compared to last season.

What do you need before the close of the transfer window?
I don't think we need anyone in order to keep in the third spot, we can't challenge for the title, so I feel any investment would be wasteful. I also doubt we can bring anyone of note in. Although a CB wouldn't go amiss.

How are you doing compared to expectations at the start of the season?

Not good really. We are currently 12th in the league but we are much worse than that right now. We have dropped points against teams we would hope to beat, lost 6 in 8 games, barely won at home and have some tough games coming up.

Have your hopes for the end of the season changed?

Very. I would be happy to avoid a flirtation with relegation right now. Something is very wrong with us. Baines and Coleman have been neutered due to our system, we dont play to Lukakus strengths hes a piss poor target man, cant control a ball or win a header, give him balls to run on to and he will tuck them away. Barkley looks awful, Barry has been poor and the defence and goalkeepers have been laughably bad.

What has pleased you about the season so far?

Not much. Besic is potentially a good player and we topped our Europa group and got a decent draw in the next round I suppose. Other than that nothing, its been really really bad. Its nice having a player like Eto'o but Martinez doesnt seem to know what to do with him. Hes constantly playing as a midfielder.

What has disappointed you?

Everything. Having a philosophy is nice and all that but when you cant buy a win there needs to be a change or two. Its been the complete reverse of last season. Also we are too fucking nice, the players never complain about anything so we just get shit on. If injustices like Cisse or Walters the past two weeks cant fire up the team then I dont know what will. We just pass between Howard, Jagielka and Distin, none of whom are good on the ball before giving it away and conceding. Its just grim.

What do you need before the close of the transfer window?

One, maybe two goalies. Howard has always been dodgy but hes old now too and been terrible this season. He has saved 50% of his shots this season. Thats poor. Robles is a clown.

Could do with a decent centre back too if we cant keep Stones fit. You can play any of Jagielka, Distin and Alcaraz with Stones but none of them together without him.

Width is also needed. We have McGeady (Shite and frustrating) and Pienaar (dead or something and 33 now) and maybe Mirallas when hes fit. We need a player to play on the counter. If the rumours of Deulofeu for 8M are true I would be all over that. Not got much cash right now though so a smart loan would do. Not Atsu, he has been shocking too.

How are you doing compared to expectations at the start of the season?

Yeah, about as expected really.

Have your hopes for the end of the season changed?

With Pardew going things are up in the air, I was pretty hopeful of attacking top 7, now it all depends on the next week or two.

What has pleased you about the season so far?

Perez, the kid looks like the signing of the season, pound for pound.

What has disappointed you?

Cabella, Riviera and injuries.

What do you need before the close of the transfer window?

A manager pretty damn quick, followed by a centre-half and a goal-scorer.

And not to sell our best players, again.

How are you doing compared to expectations at the start of the season?

About par, maybe a little better.

Have your hopes for the end of the season changed?

Not really. CL again is still the aim I suppose.

What has pleased you about the season so far?

Sanchez is a phenomenal player.

What has disappointed you?

Lack of signings, Flamini is crap, Mert has been crap. But worst of all we have the same old problems with defending and mentality.

What do you need before the close of the transfer window?

At least one defender and at least one midfielder. A striker if Podolski or Campbell leave.

How are you doing compared to expectations at the start of the season?

Slightly disappointed. I would have hoped to have been nearer ther leaders

Have your hopes for the end of the season changed?

No, still hope to come 3rd and win a cup

What has pleased you about the season so far?

Sanchez and the Ox. Cazorla has been good too.

What has disappointed you?

Injuries (again), tactics or lack of (again) and only 5 senior defenders and two rookies.

What do you need before the close of the transfer window?

Defender and defensive midfielder

How are you doing compared to expectations at the start of the season?
There or thereabouts. When the parachute payments run out though, it's promotion or bust. We need top six (Ideally top 2, but that ain't gonna happen) or Rovers could be the next Portsmouth.

Have your hopes for the end of the season changed?
I hope to still have a club to support by the end of the season. Bowyer hasn't got the nous or backroom team to get us promoted, despite the quality in our squad.

What has pleased you about the season so far?
The form of players such as Ben Marshall, and the Olsson we didn't sell to Norwich. Also Leon Best's spell at Derby

What has disappointed you?
Robinson being frozen out of the team. Selling Ruben Rochina. Bradley Orr and Leon Best still being employed by the club. Teenage prodigy Connor Mahoney not getting any games time. Signing a striker in Chris Brown who has been injured most of the season so far. Our lack of pace due to King not playing. Our inability to compete for 90 minutes (either start playing 30 mins in, or concede in the last 5/10 minutes).

What do you need before the close of the transfer window?
First, we need the embargo to be lifted, so the rest is all moot but: make Baptiste, Steele and Tunnicliffe permanent signings. Also need a specialist right back as Adam Henley hasn't progressed as expected.

How are you doing compared to expectations at the start of the season? Pretty much as expected while I hoped we'd make a crack at the top half I always thought it'd be more realistic that we hung around 13th-14th before finishing 16-17th

Have your hopes for the end of the season changed? No that's probably how it'll go. Saying that we are only 3 points off 12th so it is possible we'll finish in our highest ever position.

What has pleased you about the season so far? Andrew Robertson - In a few years he'll be seen as the Scottish Ashley Cole

What has disappointed you? The early exit from Europe was a bit disappointing but compared to other disappointments I've suffered as a Hull City it's a little nice to be moaning about going out of a competition early.

What do you need before the close of the transfer window? A striker is a must Jelavic and Hernandez are a good partnership but they've not been available together enough so another option would be nice.

How are you doing compared to expectations at the start of the season?

Difficult to judge because of the change of manager and current form. Expected safety, didn't look likely with Clark, play-offs not looking impossible with Rowett.

Have your hopes for the end of the season changed?

Massively. As mentioned above, pushing for the play-offs isn't now pie in the sky. It's still incredibly unlikely, but possible. Relegation now almost unthinkable.

What has pleased you about the season so far?

Change of manager bringing in a change of class.

What has disappointed you?

Some of the players should look inside themselves a little to say why they weren't seemingly trying as much under the old manager, but it's a minor gripe.

What do you need before the close of the transfer window?

We've already re-signed Nikola Zigic, who else could we possibly need?

Pretty much this. At this point this season is a success if Rangers still exist by August.
