It is November the 8th and can be purchased somehow on Nico Nico. I didn't try that for Yesterday's show t so I am not sure yet how that works. I watched it via other means. :shifty:

NicoNico is fine and cheaper. PROS: stream holds well and is good. CONS: can't get 100% full screen unless premium member. Didn't look to see how much that costs.

I completely forgot there is still another show before Wrestle Kingdom. I could have sworn King of Pro Wrestling would be the last one. Weird.

So no Nakamura/Shibata for WK9? :(

I'm not too thrilled with NJPW's direction but this should be another good show. The Osaka crowd is maybe the best crowd in the world and Ishii/Goto and Shibata/Nakamura all have MOTYC potential. The SPECIAL TAG MATCH, Jr Titles tag and 3-way tag should all be fun.

Three way Jr tag, Suzuki/Iizuka vs Saku/Yano, NWA jr title, Bullet Club vs NJPW 8 man, and the Jr tag title match.

You need to watch the Jr tag title match it was amazing. Suzuki challenged Sakuraba to a UWF rules match at the Dome. Liger won the NWA Jr Title. Bullet Club won their match. NJPW is running Osaka Castle Hall in July and they seem to be launching basically the NJPW Network.

Finished watching; very good show. Wasn't nearly as high on the reDragon match as a lot of people. While I appreciate Kyle O'Reily's new-found realization that Davey Richards is a complete piece of shit and everything he believes wrestling should be is teh dum-dum, I felt reDragon's comedy antics where they were the butt of their own jokes made them look like morons, which made Time Splitters look like chumps for losing to them. Also, is it too much to ask for the heels to start cheating BEFORE babyfaces start bending the rules?

Ishii vs. Goto was a LOT better than I was expecting; I thought maybe they'd tone it down because of Ishii's shoulder and knee. Fuck that shit, apparently. Also, I was somewhat disappointed to be proven wrong about something; I was sure Goto's new gimmick was that, because he's so socially awkward, he can only forge friendships through the fires of VIOLENCE and WAR! Then Ishii stood over him like a Goddamned pimp and wanted some of Makabe.

Gotta give credit where credit is due; Taguchi and Taichi tried. They even Memphis'd the holy hell out of their match which, given I think that is one of the best periods of wrestling ever, I really appreciated. But Taguchi needs a finisher that doesn't suck, stat.

Anyone who was shocked about Omega joining the Bullet Club is a mong, and it was as anti-climatic as it should have been.

Shibata vs. Nakamura was great, and the video package for them was tremendous.

All-in-all, very good show that made me look forward to Wrestle Kingdom.

There are certain themes NJPW doesn't have the rights to air on iPPV. Liger's theme comes from the Jushin Liger anime and is one them so they over dub it. That whole song thing is very inconsistent too.

Finished watching. thoughts:

Triple threat jr tag match: Awesomely fun with a good mix of comedy and action. All 6 guys showed unprecedented levels of charisma. These njpw jr tag teams put everyone else to shame.

nwa jr title: Chase owens is the whitest person ever. He looks so lost out there with Liger. I really don't know why NJPW still cares about the NWA, but this is a clever way to get one of the NWA titles shown on PPV again if Liger brings this bad boy to WK.

J tag title match: fucking loved it. TS and reDRagon have really good chemistry together. The call-out post-match was super cool and the thought of 4 of those tag teams going at it makes me wet. This match better get ample time at WK to show the American audience just what they can expect out of NJPW. Again, the jr tag division here wipes the floor with anything else.

Ishii/Goto: What else can I say? These two beat the fuck out of each other in such a damn great match. I literally fell off the couch jumping around towards the end of this match.

Yoshi/Styles: Yoshi looks good. Yoshi looks DAMN good. I love that they're playing up his American fame so much. From what I could understand on commentary, Yoshi is basically a mega supestar after his time in America, like Mutoh after spending a few years in the NWA. The match itself was really good until the style clash that made me cringe.

jr title match: Taguchi looks like a beats for fucking up Taichi, Taka, and Desperado like that. Kenny Omega's heel turn was incredible. He and Taguchi should tear the house down at WK.

Shinsuke/Shibata: I enjoyed this, for sure. It wasn't super-thrilling or anything, but the match was still good. Shibata has become one of my favorites to watch over the past year. I like the fact that he's not flashy or anything, but his execution is certainly crisp. The finish was awesome.

All in all, damn fine show. I'd give it an 8.5/10 for sure.
