View Full Version : Why does the R-Fed Forum still exist?

Sub-forums like the Listening Room have more recent posts
Last post as of right now was almost two weeks ago
There is actually no active fed at the moment, the previous owner isn't able to do anything
When TimeSplitter and Caito get up and running, that is still, just one or two threads every month, is that enough to warrant it's own section?
We have tried mini-campaigns to get interest, but it's just not there, not even from former regular posters like myself
It's time to put this thing to rest.
It's time to kill the R-Feds, or fold them up into the Board Games area.
And while you're at it make me a mod of the Testing Forum. It's all I've ever wanted :$

We are working on getting them running again. I've been tied up, and Jordo (we took over for Wiz) is moving.

I know, but does one fed need it's own forum at this stage...

I guarantee I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't said anything.
Let's give it a bit more time before deleting the R feds.

The thing that confuses me is the R-Feds have archived threads going back years and years, but for some reason there's no archive for classic Asylum threads and many great ones have been lost forever.
Doesn't make sense that we can't have an Asylum archive to me if we can have one for the R-Feds.

To be fair, the fact a lot of asylum stuff is "lost" is probably for the best from a legal point of view. Didn't someone "save" the site and have it on the computer?

I had a load of 2002-2004 stuff that was better left alone. I had a hard drive crash, I *might* still have a remaining copy somewhere, but nothing of value was lost. I guess I recapped stuff in that thread I made like when Ryback made an account here.

I've still got a PM from Ryback.
The R-Fed forum shall never be deleted.

A similar thread to this could be made about Off Topic. There are maybe four threads that get a bit of activity in there otherwise every major off topic-worthy thread is in The Asylum. Just move the Fitness, Politics, Children, and Drugs threads over and lock it up.

I never really got the idea of that forum. Back when the Asylum was "kerazy" maybe, but now it's just all the same.

Since I'm not aloud to post threads for some reason, I'll just post it here.
Why when I'm at rajahs home page does it say it's offline?

I honestly don't know what an R-Fed is even though I've been here for 14 years. But it seems to still be active so why delete it?
