NJPW “POWER STRUGGLE”, 11/9/13 (WPW/iPPV)
Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium
1. NEVER Openweight Title (& IWGP Heavyweight Title shot): Tetsuya Naito (c) vs. Masato Tanaka ZERO1
2. IWGP Intercontinental Title: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Minoru Suzuki
3. IWGP Heavyweight Title: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Karl Anderson
It sorta feels like playing out the string until 1/4. That said the Osaka crowd should be molten for the IC Title match. Hopefully Ibushi vs Ishii happens on this show.

So that tag title match is a two fall match
Fall 1 is for the NWA Titles
Fall 2 is for the IWGP Titles

Meh, their G-1 match was good. Of course everything that made it good (underdog, over-his-head gaijin babyface over-achieves) is no longer applicable.
BTW, if you are still willing to wait, I'll have the King of Pro Wrestling to you by the end of the day, Cewsh.

You know I've been watching too much wrestling lately when a friend calls me and says he wants to go out tonight and I'm sort of down because I'll be missing a non-major show from a wrestling promotion I don't even have that much love for overall. Hope Suzuki/Nakamura ends up good.

I've been there. I once blew something off with my friends because Kobashi's return match from cancer popped up on the internet and I had to watch it

Tanahashi vs Nakamura next

I was expecting more out of it, too. I dug the story leading up to the finish, and it started strong as hell, but it seemed to kind of fizzle out somewhere in the middle. Still a really good match, though.
Nakamura/Tanahashi should be a blast, though.

Well they've wrestled each other for the U-30 title at the Dome. They've wrestled for the Heavyweight Title at the Dome. Guess they gotta wrestle for the IC Title at the Dome.

Booing Naito
Psycho666Soldier
November 9th, 2013, 8:05 AM
According to some people translating the promo in the chat, Naito got absolutely wrecked by Okada there. But yeah, his reaction wasn't helping much. Boos as soon as he walked out. They seemed pretty mild for his victory over Tanaka from what I saw catching the end.

Ishii/Tanahashi was disappointing in a way but I guess I should have expected how good the G1 match was to be a right place right time sort of thing. Still it was fun midcard puro stuff overall, Tanahashi countering Ishii's back headbutt with an uppercut was cool.
