On a random Wiki trawl and came across this. Apparently it was an iPPV in January 1998.

I've never heard of it before but there are a few pages if you search for them which give this credence to have taken place. Anybody remember anything about this?

:lol: apparently it was a Pay-Per-Listen internet radio event that no one could connect to and they had to refund their money

There were several of these in 1998. Basically, it was a glorified House Show where you paid them money to listen to the commentary on the internet. Given the typical speed of internet connections in the late 1990s, I can only imagine these were a disaster.
