I'm hoping a gimmick gets added to the Tanahashi vs Devitt match

I'm actually pretty interested in Kojima/Okada. That match on G1 Climax Day 9 was rad. I'd love to see what they do with a main event slot.

Nakamura/Benjamin has potential, Yano/Suzuki should be fun, but otherwise Kojima/Okada is the main one drawing me in.

New Japan has announced THREE iPPVs for September, including of course the big Kobe World Hall show but also the two Korakuen shows leading in. 9/5 will be US$10, 9/14 will be US$15, and 9/28 will be US$25 on the Ustream page, each show pretty much priced by its importance level.

* NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Rob Conway, nominated the legendary Jushin Thunder Liger as his next challenger for the title, having overcome Kojima and Nakanishi in defenses so far this year in the New Japan ring. Liger is, as we speak, a 2-crown champion holding the GHC Jr. Tag Team Title and CMLL World Tag Team Champion, so there is the possibility he could become a 3-crown champion in the near future.

Liger does enough dates outside Japan that I'd give him an outside shot of beating Conway

That would pretty much skyrocket that title's worth in one go, that's for sure.

I still have not watched any of conway's recent stuff. Is he good in the ring? I fucking love Liger, so I'm stoked at the potential of him holding titles on 3 different continents.

Conway blows in New Japan because the style is all wrong for him. He's fine in general.

I don't understand why you're so against it.

It's not like it'd stop you from watching the show in Japanese if you were totally committed to it.

I'm not totally against anything. Jim Ross is available I hear.

Okada vs Tanahashi VI in Sumo Hall next month

Defrost
September 29th, 2013, 6:59 AM
So it looks like Okada/Tana, Shinsuke/Marufui, Nagata/Sakuraba, Naito/Yujiro for next month

sounds kinda lame. well okada/tanahashi do have at least one match i really like, im somewhat interested in seeing that. dont know why they couldnt give sakuraba a better opponent when the last nagata match blew.

Nakamura/Marufuji should be awesome but Okada/Tanahashi VI sounds boring. Also not looking very big on Naito as G1 climax winner/Tokyo Dome main eventer. There's just something about his look and mannerisms that turn me off him.

I hope the recent news of the shakeup in ownership doesnt fuck with Laughter7, I need to see Shibata in some epic matches with Tanahashi/Nakamura before they (or he) blow up his run.

come to think of it, if buck robley vs. one man gang from mid south is as good as i remember that's the best lumberjack match ever. i am actually somewhat interested in seeing tanahashi/devitt, as long as its overbooked to fuck like their g1 match.

okada/kojima wasnt very good. their g1 match was a lot better, more compact without the boring first half.
