Bit of a random thread, but a few songs came on my iPod today that reminded me of some of WWE's best. They really can do a damn good video package.

I remember really liking this one, so much energy in the song and so much awesome from Punk.

This is just a great highlight video of the best show ever.

Always loved this one because the build up to this match was so awesome.

I'm on a tablet, so it's a pain in the dick to embed. But immediately, Cactus Jack vs HHH at Rumble 2000 springs to mind. Perfectly done.

Off the top of my head, I really liked the MITB 2011 Intro Video, as well as the actual Punk/Cena promo. Here's a link to the first, but I can't find a better quality video unfortunately.

I also really like the one for Jericho and HBK for the No Mercy 2008 match.

I'm surprised we made it this far without someone mentioning the Rock/Austin "My Way" package from Wrestlemania X-Seven. Definitely one of the best ever and maybe the most famous.

The Triple H/Undertaker package set to "In Time" by Mark Collie stands out. Everyone flipped their shit when they first ran that.

I was just watching Summerslam 2010 and the package that opened that show was really good. It was about Nexus and the stakes to the match between them and Cena's team that night. That the very foundation of WWE would crumble if Nexus won. Did as much as possible to salvage that storyline.

The "History of WWE" package from 2002 is an absolute classic. That got a huge ovation from the crowd that night and a lot of people choked up watching it. They continued to update that for years and years following to show at the start of shows. I assume they finally stopped now.

I always get goosebumps when I hear "The World Wrestling Federation...for over 50 years, the legendary force in sports entertainment."

I don't think I'm overreacting to put the Wyatt family promos in there. One of the best built debuts ever. One of the only times in history I can remember a video package closing a show. The 2/21/11 packages were great too, although it just ended up being another Undertaker return.

On a sadder note, the Benoit and Guerrero video tributes have really stuck with me.

And the Summerslam 1998 "Highway to Hell" promos for Undertaker/Austin. I can't remember a song being used to define a single match like that. It wasn't just the theme for the show, it was the theme for Austin vs. Taker. Helped make that match seem like a huge deal.

Yeah I was gonna post the Austin/Rock one but I settled on the general WM17 one.

Trips/Taker in the cell had The Memory Remains as it's sound track; it even played when the cage was lowering as well as the video packages. That was a good video too.

All amazing. WWE's put together so many great packages over the years.

But speaking of the WM17 Highlights vids Andy posted, that Limp Bizkit song is my all time favorite PPV theme. I feel like no other WM theme song has ever come close a fit that 17 had.

I really liked the Jeff Hardy's videos from 2007/2008, when he was on that really hot streak and you could believe that he was about to win the title.

I loved all the ones mentioned. Another one more recent is the video they did at the height of the Miz heel championship run where they showed his rise while playing the epic "Hate Me Now" by Nas. It was a perfect fit. They should've showed this on free TV rather than the PPV to legitimize Miz in the eyes of the casual fan. It made him look awesome (no pun intended) when I didn't really care for him before. It's a shame how things have turned out for him now.

Oh yeah, that was brilliant. I don't think the character really clicked for me until that video. Shame they pretty much dropped him right after that.

Vince and Shane doing the "Rocky" training. Pure genius.

Wanted to find the segment where Vince is bumping around Dr. Tom & the masked guys in the ring. One of the masked guys is Kurt Angle and I just thought it was funny as shit seeing Angle in a cheap Luchador mask selling Vince's shitty stunners.
