Best TV Matches

[The Law]

Most great matches take place on pay-per-views, but occasionally we're lucky enough to get a classic on free TV. What are your favorite matches that happened on TV? Here are a few that come to mind for me:

-Cena/Michaels from Raw in London, April 2007

-Goldberg/Hogan from Nitro July 6, 1998. Not a classic workrate match, but one of wrestling's greatest moments.

-Punk/Cena from the February 2013 Raw

-Austin/Triple H vs. Benoit/Jericho from May 2001

-TLC III (Benoit/Jericho vs. Hardyz vs. Dudleyz vs. Edge and Christian from Smackdown, May 2001)

-Michaels/Triple H from Raw December 2003

-Benoit/Michaels from Raw June 2004

-Eddie/Edge Street Fight from Smackdown August 2002

-Bret Hart/123 Kid from Raw July 11, 1994

Austin & Michaels vs. Owne & Davey from RAW in 97 holds up really well, somewhat surprisingly. Eddie/Rey from 2005 Smackdown is definitely very, very high up for me. Swagger/Christian from ECW is one of the better WWE matches of the decade.

For WCW there are tons. There's a 2/3 Falls six man tag on some episode of Saturday Night(I think) in the early 90s that I thought was maybe the best WCW match ever the first(and only) time I saw it. I don't think it's online though, and I don't have the DVD it was on anymore. On another Saturday Night there's a seriously great Dustin/Windham vs. Williams/Gordy that's on Daily Motion.

WCW has too many to count but a few WWE standouts include the HHH/Flair match from RAW, the Hardy/Taker ladder match, and the Strike Force/Hart Foundation match from SNME.

The Midnight Express and Fantastics had probably the best tag team best of 3 falls match I have ever seen.

Randy Savage/Ricky Steamboat on WWF Superstars in late '86 (this was where their feud started).
Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels on Superstars or Challenge in 1990.
Goldberg/Scott Steiner on Nitro in 1998.
Every match between Booker T and Chris Benoit in the TV title series.
The Rey Jr/Blitzkrieg/Juventud/Psicosis four-way on Nitro.
Randy Savage/Honky Tonk Man on SNME in 1987 (Mega Powers formed)
Randy Savage/Bret Hart SNME (very late '87 or very early '88. Awesome match).

Austin vs Angle from January 2001 always stands out to me. Excellent back-and-forth battle.

Angle vs Booker T for the WCW Title in Pittsburgh in 2001 was a lot of fun. Angle was in full-on hero mode by that point, and it was terrific to see him score a huge victory for the WWF.

The two of three falls tag title match between Angle/Benoit and Edge/Mysterio in November 2002 and Hardys/Kane/Undertaker vs Edge/Christian/Triple H/Austin tag match from April 2001 are also great. The latter features some of J.R.'s best commentary.
