I had no idea this industry existed... but they basically produce straight to video shite that capitalises on big budget releases.

Check out the trailer for Atlantic Rim

And have a look at the film list and their proper film comparison.

Anyone actually seen any of these?

I saw Titanic 2 and Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies. Titanic 2 was awful, but Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies was surprisingly good.....I rented Snakes on a Train once but never bothered to watch it. They show a lot of them on the Syfy Channel in the US, and I believe they are all on Netflix streaming.

I’ve seen Mega Piranha, Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus, The Amityville Haunting (one on the list), and 100 Ghost St. (this past Sunday actually). I enjoy “bad” horror movies like these in general and watch them on Netflix. It’s very likely I’ll see more on the list in the coming months. I find that they range from actually terrible (Amityville) to stupidly entertaining (Mega Shark series). They often don’t take themselves seriously which is the key. I remember reading that they get sued all the time but given their low budgets and deal with Netflix they tend to turn a profit anyway. I’m a fan overall.
