Thought since there is no thread for this here might as well make one.

TNA World Heavyweight Title (If Sting loses he can never challenge for the Title again)

Bully Ray (c) vs Sting

TNA Tag Team Titles (4-Way Match)

Chavo Guerrero/Hernandez (c) vs Bobby Roode/Austin Aries vs Christopher Daniels/Kaz vs James Storm/Gunner

TNA X-Division Title (Utimate X Match)

Kenny King (c) vs Chris Sabin vs Suicide

TNA Television Title

Devon (c) vs Joseph Park

Gail Kim vs Terryn Terell

Not a bad card.

Amazing to me that the least interesting tag team in the company (Chavo/Hernandez) hold the belts. Probably by design (to keep them with jobs), but Joe/Magnus should be in that tag match.

Can't believe they're still rolling out Suicide. I don't mind 3 way matches, but not sure that having every X match a 3 way is the way to go. Suicide just feels like a 3 wheel here.

Interested to see Angle/AJ and the 4 way tag match.

That may be the worst card in TNA PPV history. I'm not even kidding.

Harsh Cewsh mate, they've managed worse, Kurt/AJ should be okay.

Cewsh

I don't mean in terms of matches that should be fine. I mean in terms of constructing a card from a booking perspective. Every single match on the card is a disaster.

I think the much anticipated encounter between Jay Bradley and Sam Shaw is scheduled for the show too.

I can't even remember the last time I recall the TV title being defended on actual television.

I love TNA I feel they could do great things.
Here's the steps they need to take IMO.
In no particular order.
1) Keep using the knockouts. I feel the knockouts are better than the divas.
2) Put the X back in the X division. I feel like I'm watching the same match every week.
3) Use the young guys. Sorry Sting but you gotta go.
4) Get rid of Hogan I think that speaks for itself.
5) Bring in Heyman. Look at what he did with ECW, with money and this talent pool he'd be set.

Anyone have something else to ad?

StoneColdWWE316
May 26th, 2013, 11:12 PM
Um Heyman is with WWE so that last thing isn't going to happen. Seeing as how he is managing Brock Lesnar,CM Punk, and Curtis Axel I don't see him dropping everything to run to TNA.

Cewsh

Well he was going to at one point, but Dixie refused to give him total control over the product.

i think i gotta be done with TNA.

Chavo and Hernandez need to get AIDS and die. Worst Tag Team Ever.
Sick of the same 3 Teams being in EVERY match since OCTOBER

Buh Buh Dudley vs Sting. Gay.

Dixie, if you read this...this is why women don't get put in charge of things.

the only thing worse could be Robbie E vs. Robbie T vs. Devon

It hurts that they only have 3 teams. If I were to play fantasy booker, DOC & Knux would be the tag champs so people can care more about Aces & 8s. However, the vanilla Mexican team has 2 of the best heel acts in sports entertainment right now to work with at least.

Buh Buh Dudley vs Sting. Gay.

Sting is an old fart. I say that as a life long mark for the guy. Like Horseman/Robocop days mark. Dudley is solid in his role and now they are doing something where they actually take 1 of the old guys out of the title picture. For good. That's actually good for business as they transition away to someone younger or newer (even though it's obvious where they're going.

I'm curious as to why this is "gay" in your eyes, though.

Dixie, if you read this...this is why women don't get put in charge of things.

So many things wrong with this. I will mention though. Dixie has as much vocal control over the product as the Queen of England has over government at this point.

the only thing worse could be Robbie E vs. Robbie T vs. Devon

Hasn't this actually been done before? Yep, I think it has. Probably the 1 thing you got right.

Abyss defeats Devon for the TV title that's never defended on TV.

Ryse
June 2nd, 2013, 9:09 PM
And Abyss just became the new TV champ after Joseph no showed after a backstage attack. So Devon bragged and said that he'd even defend his title against Abyss but Abyss isn't here. But then, of course, Abyss showed up.

Gotta be Jarrett I think (with them bringing everyone out).

Edit: Angle was my original pick (with Jarrett being completely off the map right now). Thought they brought everyone out to appreciate Jarrett for helping TNA to get to this point. Good pick with Angle. I would have given Jarrett his props for a longer history with the company (even if I don't believe Jarrett the performer ever drew a dime)

But Taz right now describing how Angle does his German Suplex is pretty good. When he is just there to tell how moves work, why they hurt, and how tough you have to be, he's pretty damn good. But then he has to do his whole heel schtick and it just ruins it.

Didn't see Angle going over at all. Guess they didn't want him to lose on 'his night'. (Kinda what I worried about when I saw he was the induction to the HOF)

Not sure what him winning exactly accomplishes. Nor why they'd have AJ lose.

Kinda a messy finish to a good match.

Wow...I might be the only one, but I just couldn't get into that match. Felt like to me it never got out of 3rd gear. Nice match, but I guess my expectations for those 2 are a little higher. Also, agree with the whole AJ losing thing, not sure what the point of it was.

While it doesn't completely ruin the whole AJ thing, it puts a huge dent into it.

Well I haven't been watching Impact for a while. I just popped back in a couple of weeks ago. I want to like this product more than I do. camera work is infuriating at times though. Especially on the entrance. They miss moves, and take mind-boggling angles many times. The tight shots at the ramp linger too much. The diagonal cam angles are way annoying, and they go from leaving the camera stale to cutting 5 angles in just a split second. It just takes you out of the emersion. Wrestling doesn't have to make you think its real. They just have to help you forget that it isn't real.

I started watching at the first Slammiversary. I actually did some write-ups for the front page shortly after that. Then I had some issues with the roommate at that time. Problems on both sides, and I left the house. Thus ending my watching TNA, and internet in general. I was really impressed by the action of those matches around then.

Haven't read anything in the thread, or any results. Haven't followed TNA regularly since BFG in October, have only since seen maybe 3 or 4 odd Impact's, most (but not all) of the Lockdown PPV, and have read results here and there. Now, on paper this card looks pretty meh, with Angle vs. Styles sure to be a great match but screaming of "we don't know what to do, so let's let them steal the show". ANYWAY, because it's a big show and I'm off tomorrow I'm considering watching it. To anyone who watched it, tell me in a PM please, is it worth burning 3 hours on? Whether actually good, or comically bad? Or is it a snoozefest (Like Lockdown pretty much was before the final 5 minutes.)? Thanks in advance.

Main event really felt like an ending straight out of the end of the WCW era.

Liked the exposed ring, but really, no one in TNA would come down to help their beloved Hall of Famer Sting? They all leave the arena for the night?

JMO The last 2 matches were good, but the endings left much to be desired.

In regards to Sting..

"The bystander effect is a social psychological phenomenon that refers to cases in which individuals do not offer help to a victim. The probability of help is inversely related to the number of bystanders. In other words, the greater the number of bystanders, the less likely it is that any one of them will help. Several variables help to explain why the bystander effect occurs. These variables include: ambiguity, cohesiveness and diffusion of responsibility."

Realistic.

AJ/Angle was disappointing, the rest of the show was TNA's usual boring & monotonous mess that's become common for the most part. However I will say that Kim vs. Terrell was really really good, and Sting/Ray was actually a great brawl before the run-in ending.

I didn't watch Slammiversary but it sounded like a decent PPV. I was a little surprised Kurt Angle was announced as the HOF inductee. It seems a little awakward for him to be going in and it only tells half of his Career.

Loving the 3rd guy who sounds just like Joey Styles.

Agree, but apparently TNA didn't....

Main Page:

TNA announcer Todd Kenely has been dropped from the promotion's announce team, according to a report at PWInsider.com.

Starting this Thursday night, the Impact Wrestling broadcast team will be returning to a 2-man format, with Mike Tenay and Tazz calling the action.

Kenely was informed of the decision at Sunday's Slammiversary pay-per-view. He was brought in to the company back in October by Eric Bischoff and was working for TNA without a contract.

The door is reportedly open for Kenely to return one day, if they find a role for him. TNA was not unhappy with his work, however, the decision was made to streamline the announce team and Kenely was the odd man out.

Unquestionably was the best of the 3. If they want to streamline the announce team, show Taz the door. Things will steamline when you have Taz no longer rambling on incoherently. The A&8 schtick he has is god awful.....one minute he's happy go lucky Taz, the next second he'll throw in random A&8 crap.

That's a nice way of saying that Tenay was burying him backstage, I imagine.

Tenay < Taz < Borash < Kennely. That's the order. You can call it however you want. Quality or power

I don't see why they don't give JB a shot. He seems like he knows what he is doing and just calls the action. He doesn't go off like Taz or even Tenay does sometimes with stupid jokes or rambling about nothing.

Watched this last night and thought it was a pretty fun show.

Angle AJ for me was a lot of fun. Some of the spots were nice and I thought AJ was doing well trying to work a slightly different style.

Knockouts match was really surprisingly entertaining. Bumps were insane.

Tag match good although not sure what direction they are taking it in (hoping storm injury story -> Crimson + Gunner as champs)

X Division match was the best 3 way they've had so far. I do think that will burn out though. Happy to have the title matches be 3 way but if so the qualifiers shouldn't or vice versa. Worried it will stop feuds building.

Hogans speech was awkward.

Abyss match was urgh but mercifully quick.

Title match was alright and did what was needed. I liked the ring stuff at the end. Made it a bit different.

Angle wins.....why? Doesn't that kind of ruin AJ's momentum being the whole lone dark savior?

I'm not sure AJ is the lone dark savior yet. He's a disillusioned prick who got ahead of himself trying to hit the styles clash. Angle didn't need the flash and went for the win and got it.

I guess it's a further evolution of his in ring style.

And yet they had the worst camera shot you could possibly have to end the match. God dammit TNA. :(

The replay showed a pretty spectacular back bump by Terrell in doing it. Did not hold back at all.

One thing that was particularly jarring. Briscoe and his inability to take a twist of fate. I don't know if he was knocked silly but he fucked it up so bad Jeff went for it again and then fucked it again. He had his arm blocking his neck in both cases. So so shite.

Shit I also sort of like the 2 gut check lads as well. I think that might be me at fanboy level then.

Sam Shaw has no character but he's quite fun. He reminds me of 2002 Orton or whenever he first game in.

The other guy with the Boom Stick has in two matches pretty much got over a decent finisher as a threat. That's not easy

He was Ryan Braddock in WWE I believe. In the often logic impaired world of TNA, I still cant fathom why bully went running to the back for a steel chair when there were plenty at ringside.
