WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (May 20, 2013) from the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri, featuring all the fallout from the Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) that went down last night in St. Louis.

Brock Lesnar ended his series with Triple H by winning their steel cage match, John Cena did a stretcher job in his Last Man Standing encounter with Ryback, and The Shield are now in possession of both the United States and tag team titles. We'll get all the fallout from that and much, much more!

Wwe.com has a great video of Bryan & Kane postmatch, where Bryan is screaming into the camera that he is NOT the weak link of the team. Could the end of Team Hell No be upon us? I would love a heel Bryan right about now.

Andy
May 20th, 2013, 3:12 PM
A heel turn for Bryan would be absolute madness considering he's the most over face in the company right now.

The Law
May 20th, 2013, 3:16 PM
Hell No has clearly run its course. I could see them staying together for long enough to face Shield again at Payback because there aren't really any other credible face tag teams right now, but there's not any reason for them to stay together beyond that. It's time for Bryan to move on to bigger and better things. Whether than means turning heel and going after Cena, or staying face and feuding with Punk, or challenging Dolph Ziggler for the WHC, it's time for the guy to go out on his own. I'd really prefer he and Kane not feud, it would be fine if they just split amicably.

Which Vince meme is that?

turdpower

Troll.

My point was that 'Team Hell No' feuding isn't what everyone wants and it's fucking obvious as a storyline; so he will definitely do it.

Paul Heyman is teasing some "#BreakingNews" for tonight's WWE RAW. Heyman tweeted the following on Monday afternoon:

"#BreakingNews ... @WWE #RAW A New #PaulHeymanGuy? @BrockLesnar @CMPunk"

Heyman linked to an article on his HeymanHustle.com site, which states:

"It appears as though WWE needs to brace itself. Following Brock Lesnar's epic victory over Triple H at Extreme Rules, our very own Hustler De Tuti Hustlers Paul Heyman is set to make history ... AGAIN!"

"WWE is about to get a little more EXTREME! Our boss, the Hustler De Tuti Huslters Paul Heyman is keeping quiet on this for the moment, but it appears as though we're about to be introduced to Brock Lesnar and CM Punk's new stablemate!"

:hyper:

If it happens - will be a big boost to whoever the lucky guy is. Hard to see past it being Ryback at this point I think, but what do you reckon?

Kimura Kid
May 20th, 2013, 6:13 PM
Oh Shit!!!

This is crazy good news!! Gotta go with Henry.....Although it doesn't fit.

Lesnar & Punk are 2 of the biggest stars in the game today......Could it be Batista?

Ringo
May 20th, 2013, 6:16 PM
Batista is filming a movie soon I believe.

Looking at potential candidates, I see Ryback and Cesaro as the two who would benefit the most from a great mouthpiece like Heyman. Cesaro is just me dreaming though.

Or a new call up from NXT of course but that would probably be too smart too.

RYBACK.

Peter Griffin
May 20th, 2013, 6:19 PM
Orton

Kimura Kid
May 20th, 2013, 6:20 PM
Not sure how I feel if it was Ryback....Might be the best thing for him but I wouldn't enjoy it as much as some of the other possible candidates.

Orton would work......man good call Peter

Kimura Kid

That makes all the sense in the world.....Is RVD still wrestling for TNA?

StoneColdWWE316
May 20th, 2013, 6:32 PM
No he left back in February I think.

Ringo
May 20th, 2013, 6:32 PM
RVD has left TNA. Rumours of him going back to WWE.

It would make sense but... heel RVD.

StoneColdWWE316
May 20th, 2013, 6:34 PM
Well he was kinda a Heel in his early ECW days.

JT4104
May 20th, 2013, 6:34 PM
I would like to see Cesaro in that role, Heyman has the monster in Lesnar, Punk as a jack of all trades and Cesaro would be his wrestling machine. That would be a nice little combo and hopefully give Cesaro the rub he needs. They need to build guys instead of sticking a guy like Ryback with him.

If it's Ryback I'd expect to see a Lesnar face turn fairly soon after to feud with him. Heyman screwing him again like he did with Big Show. Don't really fancy that though.

Cesaro is the best fit at the moment but with them teasing it like this I suspect it might be someone more established. Orton could be good.

Andy
May 20th, 2013, 6:42 PM
The Shield are just fine as they are.

Although I was thinking earlier today it would be awesome if there was a higher power reveal down the line...if they did it properly. Ministry Taker.

Nope! Ted Dibiase Jr oughta' be the man behind the Shield. He has the military background and the "money" to be the groups backer. Make Shield a "Blackwater" style mercinary group, long term, with rotating members and an eventual struggle for power between Dibiase and his insane super villain general Ambrose, with other members having to choose sides.

Hell even make Ted sr. the manager......That could work.

Andy

Cesaro is the best fit at the moment but with them teasing it like this I suspect it might be someone more established. Orton could be good. That is what sucks....at this point there is no need for an established guy to be with Heyman and Ryback as getting a push without him anyways. Guys like Cesaro and hell even Sandow, are the future and both have qualities that might actually get them booed by everyone.

Ringo
May 20th, 2013, 7:02 PM
Ryback isn't an established heel main eventer though by any means. He's not getting over. He's getting a push without him yes, but it is not going very well, is it? There aren't many people on here who rate his promos. Having Heyman alongside him hyping him up would likely do him wonders. He would certainly benefit.

Personally I'd rather see someone like Cesaro or Hero but this could certainly get people into Ryback.

Sandow is gold on the microphone. He should be talking every week.

Ringo
May 20th, 2013, 8:05 PM
Ryback is on form tonight. Standing on top of an ambulance telling everyone how shit they are at life.

Ringo
May 20th, 2013, 9:09 PM
Have they got a proper head writer in place now or something? This whole show has been so much more creatively and intelligently booked than anything we've seen recently. I can't believe that whoever is handling this Raw has had this much influence before.

Ok so they introduce this guy and puts him in a match with Trips, surely someone costs Trips the match. Heyman? Lesnar? Punk? Another Heyman guy?

Could definitely see that. I don't think they would pull a complete swerve and just bury Hennig considering the genuine compliments he's gotten for working hard to improve - "oh lol actually this is my REAL new client!". Even for their at times dumb booking it would make no sense. But I can't see him beating Trips clean or even just with Heyman's help, so a second guy is possible. Ohno perhaps... :hyper:

Either way, most intriguing angle on Raw in a long time. Don't ruin it yet please.

With your two top guys not 100% this is the best way to go at it, instead of the usual cast put some of the young guys in longer matches and see how the crowd reacts. So far so good tonight....Langston looking nice right now with ADR.

That isn't the only Heyman guy tonight. I can tell you that much. Curtis Axel will get the victory but it won't be clean. The one to watch for is Randy Orton or Rob Van Dam. This has been a pretty trippy show though. All the new talent over everyone tonight.

As for the Ohno wishes. Don't see it happening. I would say Bray Wyatt has the best chances of being brought up as a Heyman guy in the current NXT roster.

Andy
May 20th, 2013, 9:22 PM
I still have hopes for Cesaro.

Orton wouldn't make a huge amount of sense at this stage. Not tonight anyway, no one wants another Trips/Orton feud.

Ringo
May 20th, 2013, 9:22 PM
Ohno could do with a mouthpiece though. Wyatt's promos are the best in WWE. Could work I guess... I'd just be happy to see him called up.

Lagom
May 20th, 2013, 9:22 PM
There would be no reason to put Wyatt under Heyman's wing. He's totally immersed in his character, and if he does come up, he should bring the Family with him.

Zacharie
May 20th, 2013, 9:23 PM
I'm gonna go with Cesaro being a second guy. I don't think they can handle more new heels, and Cesaro isn't doing much at the moment. Plus they can create a feud with him and Orton since they love doing that match so much.

Andy
May 20th, 2013, 9:24 PM
From what I've seen of Wyatt, he could come up with his family without any help from Heyman.

Andy
May 20th, 2013, 9:24 PM
I fucking love that Heyman is so damn good that they've not only had to acknowledge his impact but have also used it to introduce an exciting new talent. What a man.

Ringo
May 20th, 2013, 9:25 PM
Considering there was a completely unsubstantiated rumour that Trips likes Cesaro while Vince and others don't, it could happen. Considering he just lost to Orton in like 4 minutes only a week ago I don't know if it's likely. Plans do change quickly in WWE though.

Agreed, Last thing he or the family needs is a mouth piece.

Wyatt upon arrival would be in the top 2 or 3 talkers in the WWE

I think ya'll would be missing the big picture with Orton turning. If Orton is a Heyman guy, Then I suspect that is a 100% set up for Punk to turn as well. The promo for Payback has made it a point to point out history. Triple H is Orton's biggest nemesis. CM Punk lost his World Title due to forfeit because of Orton. CM Punk "Is in doubt" and needs to re-focus. Heyman brings in Orton as his new "guy". This is deemed unforgivable by CM Punk. CM Punk and Triple H also have mutual respect for each other due to their past NHB match. Triple H and Axel if i'm not mistaken work with each other on ring work (Along with Axel and Rock). So more then likely, HHH and Axel have alot of ring chemistry. Punk/HHH vs Orton/Axel.

A manager introducing a new talent is an old-school wrestling concept that has pretty much been abandoned today. Nice to see it brought back. When Randy Savage initially debuted, they actually had Jimmy Hart, Freddie Blassie, and Bobby Heenan bid for him. Instead, he went with Miss Elizabeth. Once again, seems like Triple H is a positive influence. Unless he murders McGillicutty tonight.

Ringo
May 20th, 2013, 9:36 PM
I'm not going to get my hopes up for another debut tonight. I think if anyone helps him win it'll be Punk, also considering Cole made a point of mentioning his recent absence. That would be good too of course. Knowing WWE's current booking though - it'll just be a DQ ending with them standing tall at the end.

Also really liked Heyman referencing 2002 and 2006. There is history!

I'm going with what I said. I still wouldn't be surprised if RVD popped his head up though. Besides all the wishful thinking. I think the most probable scenario to happen tonight is Heyman "pay's off" The Shield and they come down and deliver an ass-whoopin on ol' Hunter.

Main reason I don't want to see a Bryan/Kane feud is because I don't want to see either going heel right now. An amicable break up where they just go their separate ways and have one more hug (ideally with "one more hug" chants from the crowd) would be refreshing and cool. And also very emotional.

Well that was weird. Really 'meh' ending. Hope it doesn't mean there's still more Trips/Lesnar stuff to come if they're selling the effects of the match. I think we hyped ourselves up too much expecting another Heyman guy.

Still a great show though.

Ringo
May 20th, 2013, 11:13 PM
Is Axel going to claim to be the man who retired Triple H?

Hmmm, perhaps.

I guess I'm intrigued. But this was an opportunity to put Axel over huge. Even if Trips had stumbled back into the ring, got laid out with a finisher and pinned... Then they could have showed him falling apart like that.

But I'm assuming Trips goes a way for a while now so Heyman will hav his work cut out fo him in transforming McGillicutty into Axel. Possibly while feuding with faces people don't actually care about...

Otherwise - great show. They must have some new writers in place or something. Whole thing felt different. Really fresh.

I have to commend them for putting Hennig with Heyman. I remember the guy being boring and mediocre, but if they believe in him as a talent, they've done a good job putting him in a position where he can succeed. Heyman will get him some heat, and the booking team will give him plenty of opportunities. Now it's his job to run with them. Who's his first feud? I see either Chris Jericho or Kofi Kingston as the most logical options.
