I've become very fond of short films. The majority that I've seen are forgettable fodder, but once in a while I come across one that just hooks me. The kid in this movie is absolutely brilliant, and his performance almost eclipses the rest of the cast, the directing, and the film itself.

Seeing I run a haunted house, I watch a lot of horror movies, and I love short horror, because if they can get it done in a short amount of time, that's pretty good. One of my favorites is this, because it's a fun little shock ending.

Cool thread. I'm teaching a unit on short films next year, but don't really know a lot about them, so I'd be interested to hear some views in here.

The cinema 16 collection is a fantastic DVD collection of short films. Seems to be directed toward mainly the NYU/Columbia crowd, but it has George Lucas' first film, Tim Burtons first film, and a variety of other films in different genres. Well worth a purchase.
