Do we have an app thread?
I have to say well over 50% of my "gaming" now comes from my iphone and I'm sure other people are similar.
What are some good Iphone games to get?

I just recently got an HTC One X. My first venture into the world of smart phones. /old fart.
I have Monopoly and some GBA roms. Are you trying to tell me I'm missing out or something?

I go through phases of just playing a game non-stop and then getting bored of it.
I'm currently at that stage with Simpsons: Tapped Out. It's pretty good, but I think I've played it to death. There's no actual skill to the game at all either, which is probably why it got boring quite quickly.

Someone respond to this thread immediately. I need App game suggestions and I don't want to play Simpson's Tap Out. Any good RPGs or action shooters?

Yeah, I'm useless for this as well and wouldn't mind suggestions. I have Jeopardy and that's about it. My other apps are more functional than game oriented: Facebook, Kijiji (buy and sell), LinkedIn, Twitter, AcuVu Weather, etc.
I'm always hesitant to shell out money and find out that I hate it.

Bert had a thread in the tavern with Android apps. He knows his shit... and unlike iPhones, you don't have to jailbreak your phone to install any games you want, just tick a box.

Yeah I stopped updating it because I was the only one discussing anything. Plus with my old job I had a lot of free time but I don't have as much with my new one.

Seems like all the download links still work. They changed the tags so the videos are broken, I'll fix those at least.

Triple Town
Pew Pew
2XL Supercross HD
Fluid Football (you would probably enjoy this. My friend, that is an assistant coach college soccer, plays this a lot)

I've been using TuneIn a lot lately. Downloaded it because I was nowhere near a TV and wanted to listen to radio coverage of a football game whilst in a long car trip... however coverage was on a digital station, so not available in the car radio. Listened to the game and realised I could do a lot more with it... use it for podcast listening and listening to a lot better radio coverage of metal than we get in Oz.

Free apps available for iOS, Android, Windows, Blackberry... I think.

Also, my guilty phone gaming pleasure is any of the Kairosoft games. Pocket League Story where you control a football team, Game Developer Story where you run a game development company, Grand Prix Story (guess what that is?) and all of the others... so simple, so fun.

I don't find gaming on my phone to be that great to be honest. I tried, but I just can't get into it. Nowadays I just play Angry Birds every day whilst having a shit at work.
As it gets closer to my next trip to Vegas I'll use the Blackjack and Craps games I've got on my phone more and more.

I'm not a big phone gamer either - I'm fine with strategy games like poker, sudoku, even those physics games like Angry Birds etc...anything more complicated (particularly involving an on-screen 'controller') and I can't be arsed.
Speaking of Vegas Beefy - I got let into the Grosvenor in Brighton at 5am on Saturday morning. I lost a lot of money :(

Ha! I bet they loved you. I'm out in London in a couple of weeks and can see me getting dragged to one of the casinos near Leicester Square. At least in Vegas they give you free drink whilst you're losing all of your wages.
I can't deal with on-screen controllers either. May work fine for something a little bigger like an iPad but not a phone.

They fucked me over, they allowed me in on the agreement that I didn't drink anything while I was in there. So basically they thought I was the exact amount of drunk to give them all my money, any more and I'd pass out in the toilets or something. I bunged £10 into one of those stupid slot machines because all the roulette tables were busy, had NO idea what I was doing, lost the entire £10 without working out how to play it...then put another £10 in :( Not bringing my card out again on a night out ever.

No idea. At least it isn't as annoying as that word where you have a load of jumbled letters and four photos...my Facebook at the moment is filled with people uploading photos of ones they can't get.

I played that a bit, but got boring quickly. It's basically scrabble for thick people.

If you have an iphone, pick up Crystal Crashers. It's like a way better Angry Birds, except you hurl bombs in space to blow shit up. Tons of stages, low price, and extremely addictive. Btw, the game is not available on Google Play
If you have an Android phone, get Dungeon Village! You don't really play this game, more manage and develop. Can't say enough good things about this one.

I've been using the TuneIn app quite a bit lately. Between being able to listen to my favorite Shoutcast stations in the car and stuff that was on terrestrial radio but switched to net radio, I love it.

Not sure if anyone here still plays The Simpsons: Tapped Out, but I have a ton of snake eggs left over for the Whacking Day promotion, so if anyone needs some, PM me your Origin username and I'll leave you some.

I have been addicted to RunFootball for a while now. It's a kind of stripped down football manager MMO. You build your team up, challenge other teams and try and win the various leagues. It is very repetitive but it has a strange hold over me.

I was playing the Injustice DC app and was into it for a week and a bit, but gave up when I learned just how long the treadmill they expect you to walk on is for doing the same thing. I wasn't even close to the full amount of grinding you have to do.

I'm on level 464... It's getting beyond a joke now.
On 202 you have to just not set them all off at once. As with all levels, you just need a lucky board.

I got completely over Candy Crush in the 200's somewhere. Stuck on a level for 2 weeks, playing it regularly on the train to and from work and then just realised how shit it was and uninstalled.

Aye I got that. I think I got one bomb away and that was the best I could do. Fuck it.
