Pretty cool trailer. I hope it doesn't suck.

It looks good but I am frightened.

I could see the Deadpool quips getting mind numbingly annoying really fast. I hope they exercise restraint with that.

You could embed the video at least.

I'm really excited. I love the character and am slowly going through the comics in chronological order on my tablet.

I really hope this is good, but I'll reserve judgment until I get my hands on it. Gameplay will make or break it. If Marvel can start delivering Arkham quality games, there is a massive fountain of potential games. Not even just the big names, but smaller or secondary names could make for great games. Black Widow comes to mind, as does a Black Cat spinoff Spider-Man game or something.

The idea of playing as a bit of a rogue is very compelling in a superhero game.

Lunch break on a phone at work so only got a quick chance

It is being done by High Moon studios. They did a damn good job on Transformers: War for Cybertron, and look to be doing a great job on Fall of Cybertron. I'm hoping that their experience with a franchise that has a devoted fan base, will help them with this title.

That looks awesome, but I agree with Atty that the gameplay will really make or break it. That being said, I'll still probably get this even if the reviews are only average, since I'm a huge Deadpool fan.

Not that I'm claiming that gameplay won't make or break it for me, especially since I'm not in love with Dead Pool, I just find him funny. Can we lower the bar a smidge here? Marvel does not need to produce Arkham level games to do well, frankly nobody needs to deliver Arkham level games except Arkham 3 when it hits.

I hope this controls kinda like a Devil May Cry or Bayonetta and since the formula is already out there hopefully these guys are smart enough to take it, figure out what to do to make it unique to Deadpool and then hash out a story that bloody and funny and doesn't piss me off. Like I said, I'm scared for this game.

so game comes out in a few days.... people,e have been putting walkthroughs already

plenty of 4th wall breaking before the the tutorial level

seems like the camera may be a bit of a problem,

humor stays true to the deadpool comics

Oof. Metacritic (http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/deadpool) currently has Deadpool at 66.

Gamingtrend (http://gamingtrend.com/game_reviews/our-common-sense-is-tingling-we-review-deadpool/) has the highest rating at 83

VideoGamer has the low at 50.

That's not really the consensus though. Most of the reviews say the humor is great but the boss battles are uninspired and there's no replay value.

My rebuttal is who cares.

This is pretty much everything you could want from a Deadpool game. It’s funny, violent, and fast-paced. The campaign, while a bit short, is wonderfully consistent. I can’t really think of any particularly dull moments, and High Moon knows when to mix things up with some clever quirks, like suddenly turning everything into a 2D sidescroller.
Deadpool won’t win any awards for innovation, and it won’t really stick with you, but you’ll have a hard time not enjoying its self-aware humor and action. Fans of Deadpool the character will have a great time with Deadpool the game. As far as super hero games go, this is definitely one of the better ones.

When not expertly burying a heroic epic under madness, Deadpool spends its time alternating between sophomoric commentary and genuine hilarity. The writing is at its most clever when the fourth wall is being brutally beaten down. Regular in-game calls to High Moon following purposeful game glitches, references to overused gaming tropes as they're being employed, random splashes of theme music — this is wonderful stuff.

And when it's crass, it's very, very crass. This is not a game for children, though I'd love to be in the room with mom and little Billy when Wade talks about his dick size, suggests a dog lick his testicles, or attempts to fondle a potentially imaginary woman's breasts. It can get pretty horrible, but it's staying true to the character. If anything, Deadpool is even more Deadpool here than he is in most of the comic books he appears in.

If you can handle the hairy humor, you might have as much fun playing Deadpool as it seems like High Moon had making it (well, up until that last bit). Thanks in no small part to the insanity of Wade Wilson (and an inspired set of performances by Mr. North), they've taken a genre that rarely produces more than repetitive filler and twisted it into a unique experience that embodies the very spirit of the character.

The mixed reviews are kind of putting me off this.

For me to consider dropping $40+ on a video game, it needs to be better than ok.

wait for a hectic price drop jimmy

deadpools humor and the 4th wall breaking make it good

but as state the gameplay is repative and the camera is a pain at times
