Yeah, the undisputed title is my favorite design, too. It seems a little stark for the current era, though. Honestly, I'd feel more excited about the whole thing if they would re-issue all of the belts at once. It's like, you can blow all your load at once and it's awesome or you can let it trickle out a little at a time and, well, this isn't a very good analogy.

Like already mentioned they've struggled in making a decent title belt in awhile, the WWE, US, Divas, ECW, and Tag titles all being silly looking but I'm alright with the midcard titles looking silly but the main title should have a classic sort of look to it. I'd like them to bring back an old belt like they did with the IC title and maybe add a little modern twist to it. I vote for the "Smoking Skull" belt. But I agree with who ever said they should debut it at the 1,000th Raw.

Actually, if you look at their other belt designs, it could easily be the centerpiece but still yet to be put inside the bit that surrounds it that makes up the rest of the middle of the belt too. Which would mean that more color and detail could be surrounding it.

I honestly don't care if this really is the belt or not. Way, way, way too much stock is put in these things. As long as it doesn't actively look like a piece of shit that nobody would want to be seen with, what's the big deal?

The reason I care about what the belt looks like is the same reason I care about the opening montage, set design, ring logos and theme songs. All this stuff help set the tone for the product. Watching Austin walk through fire to metal music and pick up his eagle belt....it just seemed more intense than nickelback and the plastic toy looking belt we have now. Shame Punk never changed it. Seemed like it would have been on keeping with his character.

I know that all sounds kinda mark-ish but the production and look of everything from the sets to the belts helps draw me in. Like Lawlers T-shirts piss me off more than they should.

I have to agree. While, if this is the design, I absolutely HATE how loud and plain it is.... The "CHAMP" on the current belt has always been my biggest complaint about it.... so "CHAMPION" is one positive if this is the new one. But otherwise I really don't like it's plainness.

The "new one" could very well be a side plate since it looks like there is a CD case to the top right. It could be a side plate or maybe a scale-model prototype. It also could be unfinished as well, considering how WWE has liked to paint belts lately.
