I really liked Spiderman Shattered Dimensions - and thought that the tight, linear levels is what helped it succeed. Will be interesting to see how the open-world-ness works in this one.

Looks like they're taking a LOT of stuff out of Uncharted's playbook. If they do it as well as Naughty Dog did, that's a good thing and I might break the habit of a lifetime and PLAY A TOMB RAIDER GAME.

Considering Uncharted 1 was pretty much Tomb Raider featuring Nathan Drake some would argue that things have simply come full circle.

My only concern is that the game may feel a little disjointed. The balance between the scripted/linear sequences (which are likely to use QTE's) and the standard running/jumping/shooting sequences will be critical IMO.

Uncharted did a bad job of jumping and climbing, so they've got that advantage over it. I would have enjoyed the last couple of Tomb Raiders more if they had scaled back on the combat, which they weren't very good at. Hopefully Tomb Raider keeps that exploration at it's heart and doesn't just try to go Gears of War, which is what Uncharted was.

It does look quite fun. I've never really liked a Spiderman game so i'm hoping they finally make me want to play one all the way through.

Although it does sort of look like Spiderman is fighting the Reapers.

Tokyo Jungle, Sony Japan's game about post-apocalyptic fighting animals in a devastated Tokyo metropolis, may seem like the most Japanese thing ever. And it is. That's not stopping the game from coming to Western PS3 consoles, though.

While the game was originally revealed for European PS3s all the way back in 2010, the resulting silence and lack of US information led many to believe it simply wasn't going to make it. Well, Sony Europe has sent out a new fact sheet for the game, reaffirming its intent to release it in Europe and Australasia.

No such move from Sony America, but given the fact the PS3 is region free, worst-case scenario means US owners can import the British or Australian versions.

The lack of in game footage in a trailer, is usually in direct correlation to how shit the actual game will be. I think that Transformers trailer had approximately 0.00 seconds of gameplay featured.

It did have no gameplay but I'm not worried. It's the opening cinematic. War for Cybertron did the same and that game was class. It's more a taster for the characters who will be in the game. We already know the engine and how it'll play from 2010's game.

The trailer for the game has me stoked. Even if it does come out next to GTA 5, I will find a way to pick it up. The writing looks to be as funny as anything that Parker, and Stone have given us.
