This is fun...

I'm sure most of you have seen this before. I'm not sure where it started or who came up with it, but I can remember seeing it online as far back as around Wrestlemania 2000. I haven't tried it in a few years so I figured I'm due.

The game is as follows: Using WM 1-21, you select one match from each year's card. The goal is to make a Wrestlemania supercard of sorts, with as many classic and memorable matches as possible while trying to keep the crap to a minimum. The rules make this challenging because A) You're not allowed to use anybody more than once and B) You're not allowed to use the same Title more than once. For example, if you use Savage/Steamboat from Wrestlemania III, you can't use HBK/Razor from Wrestlemania X since they're both for the Intercontinental Title. If you use, Bret/Owen from WM X, Bret/Austin from WM 13 is out of the question since you've already used Bret.

This makes for quite a difficult task. Some guys like Savage, Bret, HBK, Angle, etc. have a ton of great matches to pick from. And some have been in so many like Hogan and Undertaker that it really gets tricky. This was hard enough to do back in 2000 but now that the last 5 or 6 years have featured pretty much all the same guys in high profile matches (Austin, Rock, HHH, Angle, Benoit, Jericho, Undertaker, Michaels, Hogan, etc.) it's even harder. Give it a shot and you'll see what I mean.

So, using these rules, what's your ultimate WrestleMania card? I'll post mine in a bit.

No Triple H or Mick Foley on your card?

Thought about putting Warrior vs. HHH for WM12, but Taker vs. Diesel is better. His match at WM13 was bad, 14 was average but the mixed tag was better, 15 was bad, 2000 used the Rock, X7 vs. Taker is overrated, X8 vs. Jericho is bad, 19 vs. Booker T isn't that good, 20 vs. HBK and Benoit used guys I already had and was for the title, and vs. Batista at 21 is out since it's for the world title.

Foley? Could have gone with the Dumpster match at WM14 I suppose.

WWE Championship Match/World Heavyweight Championship Match

PMBR

Hogan has bad matches and aside from his match with The Rock and Vince McMahon, all of them were for the world title. I had already used The Rock and my World Title Match, and his match with Vince was laughable.

Mick Foley is included at Wrestlemania 15 as part of the title match

WWE Championship Match/World Heavyweight Championship Match
I was actually going to use that but I didn't think I could use the WWF Heavyweight Championship and the WWE Championship. I would have otherwise used John Cena vs JBL at Wrestlemania 21

No... World Heavyweight Championship (the big gold WCWesque belt)

PMBR
March 28th, 2006, 5:38 PM
Yes. I followed what you meant. It just wouldn't have done any good for me. On a technicality there are 4 different heavyweight championships.

WWF Heavyweight Championship
WWF Undisputed Championship
WWE Championship
World Heavyweight Championship

Sancty
March 28th, 2006, 5:52 PM
Kinda, but not really, the WWF HW Championship turned into the WWF Undisputed (merged with the WCW belt), and then later was renamed to WWE Championship. The current HWC has no lineage and is a brand new title
