Guinness World Record Trivia

Basically, an idea I had for a game. I know its probably not too original, but meh.

Basically, you get five Guinness questions, like how much does the world record pumpkin weigh? You guess the answer, and whoever is closest wins. Best 3 out of five wins.

What I wanted to do differently is make it a little tournament, so whoever wants to sign up can do so. The winner shall be champ!

Any takers?

The problem is that some of us have the book so that we could always get the answer right.

And anyone could look it up online, would be a good game if people were honest and didn't cheat.

But it will be fun. I'm in.

Say you guess 500 feet for the first one, if I think thats too high I just say 499.

Nighthawk
June 30th, 2005, 3:35 AM
Good point, mate.

I remember one time (at least; it may have happened more but I only saw it happen once), the first contestant bid $1. The second bid $2, and the third bid $3. The fourth guy ACTUALLY HAD TO THINK ABOUT what to bid! It was a pretty big blunder for the first contestant to bid $1, but there was still the possibility that the others would legitimately bid too high. The second contestant and, more blatantly, the third contestant, however, had no excuse for how stupid their bids were, because obviously the fourth guy could bid $4 (which he did end up doing, thank Goodness) and have a guaranteed win.

It was heart-wrenchingly pitiful.
